Rich, my good friend and Drummer from my side-project guilty pleasure, 90's grunge, (my mrs calls it the 'dad band') cover band Firehawk (intentionally bad name) has arranged a music festival called Flynnfest for this Saturday at the Britannia Inn in Par. Firehawk are closing the show, but the band scheduled right before us have pulled out and left him up the proverbial creek without a paddle. We are desperately trying to find a replacement band to fill this slot- and have got very close before being let down again. We are scouring the local music scene to try and find a band to play for an hour for this great charity event, in memory of Rich's son who was unfortunately still born in late 2011, with all proceeds going to Local charity Ella's memory. If you are in a band, or know of anybody who may be able to play for an hour, 8 til 9ish, just out of the kindness of their heart (and maybe some Tribute) to support this great event, then please get in touch. Full PA comes courtesy of local sound legend John Cornfield from Sawmills studios, big Marquee by the pub itself, there will be a drumkit, and you are free to use my bass amp and head. It's already received local media coverage so turnout should be good, and there should be some photo's taken from the local papers on the day. Please send me a message if you can help!
