4 Strings Posted June 25, 2013 Share Posted June 25, 2013 (edited) Well, here's the other bass I need to sell to realise my custom Ruach 'Utility Bass'. This is my red Stingray that I use all the time and the bass that I'm risking that the custom is going to be all I need it to be! Plays great, sounds great, is great. Proper Stingray sound on bridge pup, big sound on front pup and a load of variations from the coil splitting selector. (Second one in is a killer slap tone!) I do a lot of soul and Motown, hence the second pup, the range of tones on this is, well everything I can imagine anyway. Even does a nice Jazz sound with both selected in the middle. All pots work, neck beautiful, usual gunstock oil finish, Heath at Ruach slimmed it down a little, bit more towards the Pre-EB shape. Finish is amazing! A couple of nicks in the red as shown in the pics, the small crack you may be able to see on the horn just above the neck is just in the lacquer, you only know it's there if you know it's there. The red is truly stunning in reality, bit more translucent and deeper than it looks in the pics. Not sure what else to say, ask any questions, let me know if there's anything else you need to see/know. Comes with original MM case and case candy. The Hipshot shown will come off and the standard tuner returned. Bought it for £750 from a Basschatter who had it from new, selling for same. May consider close offers as definitely need to sell. I'm afraid I'm a maple man, it would have been bought by someone else if it was a rosie! Sorry, no trades as I'm already committed financially to the Ruach (paid for the wood!)
