Whats everyone charging extra per mile outside your regular area for Weddings etc?

Obviously taking into consideration fuel and time (Leaving earlier, and getting back a lot later)?
I'm just trying to work a few figures out for a few new possible clients.
We're a three piece and go in three cars to gigs. We've got a set price we charge for within about 60 miles/mins from a location postcode but then outside of this area I'm struggling to find a fair amount to charge per mile.

Any help or figures?

For parties and into function type territory as we aren't a function band as such we will charge £20 per car above 30 miles.
For pubs, that is £10 per car, but there aren't many pubs that are worth travelling to...for the all-round money, tbh

45p per mile is what HMRC allow as the cost of running a car (for the first 10,000 miles), so that would seem a reasonable starting point.
Hard to argue with HMRC ;)

Do that and watch how many booking you don't get...

Fair enough, but if you work out the total cost per mile of runnign a car it's a pretty fair figure, so charging less just means you're subsidising the gig.

But whatever you decide to actually charge the customer, you should still use 45p as the cost figure for tax purposes.

We will have a typical band fee and then load in multiples of £10's for fuel/transport depending how far we have to travel..

The most we have gotten is £55 per car but we made it work with 3 cars and this was a gig for the Military who seemed
to have a healthy budget.
I think London and 1 hr is the most we would travel..and then it would have to be a very special gig
