This one is bluey green metallic. This bass actually was the prototype of the later ones made by Mr Benavente. I have all sorts of documentation as to the history of this one. These basses have quite flat, wide necks but are very easy to play and sound immense. Loads of info on the net for this- if you look at the band Phat Hat on Youtube the bass player- Jerry Henderson plays a 6 string version of this.

Very powerful EQ and an amazing price for a proper hand made boutique bass. I have played this one lots and it has been gigged lots too- loads of great comments about the tone of this instrument. There is the odd ding in the body work. I have some photos but have reached my upload limit so will post photos later. PM me for photos or any info.

This bass wears 40s at the mo. I have had this for about 4 years I think.

Anyone is welcome to try this one out- I am near Hull- delivery can be arranged- UK only but will be at buyers expense.

I have a few basses for sale because I have bought a truly expensive Hofner Upright- just want to sell one or two and will take the rest off sale- whatever doesnt sell first.

Is this the one that's previously been sold here?

There was a prototype up for sale before. If so, then it's really nice but it is a bit different in some of the build quality and electronics to the production models.

Sounded great from what I remember :)

Yeah- would be about 3-4 yrs ago- I think I have had it for that long. When I got it it was probably the worst set up bass in the world. Now has 40s on and a very low action indeed. Amazing for slap. It was a prototype for the later models- I emailed Chris Benavente and he confirmed it- has a custom pre-amp by John Suhr and Kent Armstrongs. Sounds wonderful.

Seems very high quality to me- has MOP inlays and is beatiful to play. I have a few basses on and wish that my Warwick and one of my Roadworns sells- then I will be taking this and one of the roadworns off sale. But I suppose we`ll see.
