I would prefer to sell outside of eBay due to the high fees. If anyones interested let me know. I will send them worldwide (I'll get an accurate postage price if you contact me) and I do accept PayPal, as long as you pay the fees (obviously). PM me if you interested.

Do have to ask why it would be obvious that the buyer has to pay the PayPal fees??

How much are they to Basschat members??

I hate this 'buyer pays fees' selling technique.
It is the responsibility of the seller to pay the fees not the buyer.
I simply refuse to buy from sellers who insist on adding extra fees to their sales.

I don't see the problem. That's based on the assumption I think what he's saying is, he will accept your choice of payment provider, provided it doesn't cost him extra (he says 'I will accept paypal', I'd guess that mean he'll accept other things too). If he was only offering paypal, and price was inclusive of fees, I think he would most likely bump up the prices by whatever the paypal fees were. (That's what I would do). Net cost to the buyer, exactly the same.

But is by no means 'obvious' that the buyer would have to pay his fees, so i think it was worded badly, which is more the point i was making. If a seller does not wish to pay the Paypal fees, they should not accept it as a payment. If the prospective buyer offers to pay by paypal and pay the fees to give the seller an incentive to use the service without adding cost to them then that is a different matter.

But back on topic, as your here to sell the pedals without eBay (or paypal, apparantly) fees, what is the price for basschatters? The WH-10 in particular for me?

I think it's fair enough if a seller stipulates that the buyer picks up any fees, as long as every thing is clear in the ad. There are a number of ways someone can be paid which won't incur the seller any fees, and some of them won't cost the buyer anything either. If someone is looking for £500 for an item, should they ask for £550 to cover the Paypal fees and in doing so effectively penalise others who might like to pay by other means? IMHO it might be worthwhile all sellers stating who is to pick up any fees, in much the same way as most ads state whether postage is included in the price or not. As long as the final price to the buyer is clear it should be easy for potential purchasers to establish whether it is a deal worth making.

Which rather brings us back on topic.

As things stand it may well be cheaper for a BCer to buy these on ebay, as the seller is compelled to pick up the fees on there (and have some protection from Ebay to boot). Plus of course it's in the rules that a price should be stated for all ads on the forum. Without the prices it's impossible to tell what kind of deal is on offer here.
