This is a beautiful Mex made specimen with a gorgeous gloss finish and unique colouring. It has rolled finger board edges, no sharp frets, very sweet growly and punchy pick ups and a lovely maple figured neck.

Very high quality build and in no way comparable with some early edition Mex Fenders you may have played or heard about.

Has a chip on the pickguard from when I took it off - almost like a pressure release some paint popped out from under the screw :o

Aside from the chip I can't see any marks on it, it's in amazing nick. I'm selling it for what I paid - they average around £550 ish new

I can take more photos for those interested.

Here is the spec from the Fender website:

Fender’s classic yet seldom-seen Antigua finish returns for this special Jazz Bass model. The distinctively shaded body hue debuted in the late 1960s and was briefly revived with a more graduated greenish tint in 1977, when it first appeared on a Jazz Bass (on both body and pickguard). Antigua-finish Fender instruments have appeared only sporadically since the late 1970s and are rare finds now prized by discerning collectors worldwide. This new special-edition Antigua Jazz Bass is available only in limited quantities and is an authentic evocation of one of Fender’s most historically exclusive finish options.

Better hurry guys. Don't know about the jazz, but it seems like Thomanns are the last place in Europe to have an Antigua Precision.
Glad I got mine sharpish  a lot of 50 something bass players will remember these mysterious objects from their youf

Well, for me because it's in the UK otherwise I would have jumped into my car :-)
Not really looking for this sort of bass but this still is very tempting : the looks just floor me and something just says "yes" when you look at that neck..
