Inspired by my recent experiences, I've decided to do a few mods to a couple of basses and want to make a few scratchplates... could anyone point me in the direction of a source of large sheets of scratchplate material.. not the just about big enough sheets you can buy retail or on flea bay but big sheets I can cut down myself....

Thanks all.

Pete

Can you useTraffolyte for scratchplates? Seems to be the right thickness and comes in sheets up to 4' x 2'

WDMusic and CH Guitars do sheets of material but I guess they are the retail and ebay ones yo have looked at.

I'm not sure if these may be the just about big enough sheets you were trying to avoid, but you could try this ebay seller:

I've used them before for a standard pickguard and found them good. Someone else also recommended them on a different build thread yesterday.
