TRADED MTD 535-21 #340

I don't slap enough to justify keeping this, since we have very limited space for my gear at our place. edited to add: I'm a sixes player otherwise, but they are a little more difficult to slap cleanly on. But, since I don't get paid to sound like a knitting factory, the sixes get taken to gigs.

This is an example of the older MTD basses, that had different pickups from those Mike uses nowadays. You can hear the tone of these pickups in Norm Stockton's playing (and this bass sounds close to his, but thanks to the maple board, not as 'pingy')

The woods are avadoire/maple for the body and wenge/maple for the neck. Very spanky but thicker than you'd have with all wenge neck and/or current MTD electronics. Everything's fully functional!

More pics at http://s626.photobuc...kl0405/MTD/535/ - the pics show every little ding on the bass. None on the face or back of the neck, luckily!

Asking 2600 quid, as the avadoire was a rarer and pricier option, and you can't get these thicker sounding pickups any more. Comes with the MTD case that's in good condition.

Tradewise, I'd be interested in either a six-string bass (+cash, more than likely) or something that's easy to sell (the brand is desirable and/or the trade value is set low).

I think I might need some clean underwear, that is STUNNING! :o I have always wanted an MTD and one with a Wenge/Maple neck even more, shame I am broke. Good luck with the sale but I dont think you will need it.
