Vintage - early 70,s Ampeg V4B bass head

Recommended Posts

I have a very nice early 70,s V4B - still on original voltage so you will need a transformer.

This has been used as a back up for a later v4bh - due to the reliability of that head - it is not seeing any use.

It does have a new set of tubes - 2x12ax7, 1x12au7 1x12ad7 - original 6k11 - spot on, and a set of 7027a,s.

I have not see or heard of another original vintage one for a long long time.

I also have a 410hle cab - late - USA, but am hoping to hang on to that as a spare.

May consider a nice orange 410 cab or other other orange gear as p/x

looking for a minimum 750 for the head.

It is really that nice and the tone is massive.

Tolex is spot on and all chrome corner protectors etc in place.

Just like to say that Rob at RD Amplification is a real wizard when it comes to working on these.

Good luck with the sale - these are epic amps!

I had one of these, made a fearsome racket. You'd think it was a lot more than 100W.

You'd be thinking right! These put out more like 140 -150W. B)
