jaybass 70 Posted June 18, 2012 Share Posted June 18, 2012 (edited) Just Aqquired some GAS for a Boss ME-50B Multi Effect, So Im looking around the google searches (You Tube Demo Vids, write ups E.T.C) and I come across the Promo Vid that is actually on the Roland.com site ,, Very Poor and Cheesy to the Extreme ,, Not in synch with what he's playing and the fact that it does not show any other sounds you can get from this unit. Shockingly bad marketing. Enjoy... I've always found these boss videos incredibly cheesy, and they seem to be aimed squarely at people taken in by flashy lights. Its a shame though, because products like this dont get a fair shout. Norris Posted June 18, 2012 Share Posted June 18, 2012 The controls on the ME-50B are analogue, making it awkward to make fine adjustments, especially to preset sounds i.e. you twiddle the knobs, but don't know what values were written to the preset in the first place, so have to try a lot of A-B comparisons until it sounds the same - and then start adjusting. The GT-6B is a bit more expensive but is a lot easier to fine tune due to the built-in display and the single jog wheel to adjust the parameters.
