Peavey T-45

Recommended Posts

Everyone knows about T-40s. But the T-45 is new to me (on account of being ignorant).
Anyone know what they're like?

I also read that they can be heavier than t40s.

Good grief. Do they make them out of the stuff that Trace Elliot use to line their cabs?

Very Nice, overshadowed by the T-40. B)

As said above, more P about these, although they pack more
of a punch, from my experience.
Different to the T-40, as it has a Volume, a coil select/tone and a second tone.
Why?
Because on the T-45, you can rein in the Single coil and use alongside the primary
tone, to add subtlties.

The myth about Ten Ton T-40's isn't exactly true - not all are on the weighty side and
as they balance very well, the weight doesn't show as much as you would think - and
there are basses a lot heavier than a T-40.
My point. . . . . well, the the T-45 has more frets, different body shape, which I know looks
the same but it isn't, trust me . . . and. . . . . it is Heavy!
There is a rear rout for the sparks and the void for the pick-up but the rest of it is SOLID
WOOD!!! ;)

Have a look here for details:

Quite rare over here - mine is in hospital (stripped and in it's case) pending a re-fret! :o
Got a pic somewhere.

If thinking of buying - add carriage, then add 20% VAT, then add handling charge - usually
around £12.00

As I said, does look like a nice one - these were not a budget T-40, they sold at around the
same price when new.

Cheers. :)
