Ashdown MAG or ABM head at less than 4 ohms

surprised no one has commented on this yet.

If you want to turn your amp into a smoke machine then by all means try it. :)

It might be able to cope but most likely will not.

I haven't heard anything about this but there are a couple of amps that say minimum 4ohms but can actually run at 2 but I wouldn't fancy trying it whith these.

And there endeth the lesson :) Well, talk about getting advice from the horse's mouth! Any experimental thoughts of combining 8 and 4 ohm cabs with my Ashdown Heads have been dispelled.

And Mr Ashdown Engineering, I've been using my MAG600 head for a few years and never had a single problem from it - and it never fails to impress. My newly acquired ABM appears to be just as good so far. After a brief foray into the world of Ampeg, I'm sticking with what works for me. And I definitely don't want to turn either into a smoke machine lol.
