I filmed quite a few years ago when he played the old Virgin Megastore on Oxford Street:

I remember the Megastore thing - a great time......

I have seen him live many times - a couple of times with his own band.
And a while back with various other people, including David Sanborn at Wembley which was an amazing gig.
Terrific Musician.

I'd love to hear something similar. He peaked around Tales and M2 for me- not to say his later releases weren't as good, just that those 2 were so good.
I'd like an album of standards or bebop.
There is a clip of him on YT with the Italian Jaco-influenced guy- they play over Night in Tunisia and MM is stunning, he has chops but above all it's his musicality that shines.
His sense of melody, rhythm and "question-and-and-answer" is outstanding.

I say hats off to Bass Day for getting one of the biggest names in the business.
If you think he's all about slappity slap you're missing the point.
It's his signature dish but his menu is 'kin mahoosive. :)
