I used rounds for years - even on my fretless basses - but I got a fretless Jazz that had a LIGHT (.40-.100) set of flats on it and I really liked them, esp played with both pups on full but plucking over the front of the front pup. Try'em![/quote] I've had a set on my fretless jazz for a number of years now and I enjoy them too. I just not aware of many recordings out there with them and wondered if many existed. Not sure how much of it is mixed with the DI. TI Jazz flats fingerstyle. Both pups on full, tone rolled right up. [edit] - didn't read the fretless bit.
