Power leads to pre/power amps

In my rack, I have a preamp, a poweramp and a tuner - all using separate power leads. Is there anything I can buy that would fit neatly into the back of the case, that would allow me to connect all 3 to one thingy with one power lead coming out of the back.

I know an extension lead would enable this but I don't want 9ft of power leads coiled in the back of the case.

Ta.

Al, I've been using a 13-amp dis block mounted on a blank panel for a while now

but I'm thinking about getting one of these

They are a very reputable company and are a subsiduary of an organisation that makes a lot of patch panels, jackfields and Outside Broadcast Truck power distribution systems for the broadcast industry.

For a double

Or any IEC Splitter

Or my Favorite a Art power conditioner

I use a very small 4 way extension attached to a 1u rack blank. It's that small, it actualy faces inwards into the rack, without too much room taken up, which is good. Same kinda thing as Dave's pic above.

I have also used the 3 way IEC splitter cables too... as I had a good resource for cables from installing in Server farms ;o)

I used to use an IEC distribution strip but then I got to thinking about it and came to the conclusion that for simplicity and security 13-Amp was the way to go.

1. Every item of equipment is separately fused at its plug.

2. You can plug-in 13A wallwort power supplies directly.

3. If you have a cable problem it's a lot lot easier to find a 13-Amp to IEC than an IEC to IEC cable.

4. If borrow/hire any extra kit then the chances are it'll have a 13-Amp lead with it.

5. Other band members can plug into the back of your rack.

Spare moulded 13-Amp to IEC cables are very cheap. Go to B&Q or similar, buy some 13-Amp plugs, cut the moulded cables to suit and fit the 13-Amp plugs. Neat and tidy rack. UK standard.
