davideleira Posted February 5, 2011 Share Posted February 5, 2011 Hi. I have an Ashdown MAG 300 and an Ashdown MAG 210 cab, and I'm looking for a 4x10. I have 200/250eur to spend. I was thinking in the Ashdown MAG 410, but yesterday I saw an used Markbass STD 104 for 250euros! I never played markbass stuff, and that cab is on Italy... I have seen that Markbass is transparent, and the Ashdown warm, with a different "voice". I love the Ashdown's sound, but it seems not as loud that i would expect, or it's because i'm using only a 2x10... What do you think people? What's the best choice in this price range? xgsjx Posted February 5, 2011 Share Posted February 5, 2011 The MB cabs are (apparantly) pretty clear sounding cabs & it's down to your amp & bass (& any fx you have) to produce the sound that comes out of it. To me, that is a good thing. I prefer MB to Ashdown for both sound quality & weight (I tried a few different ashdown rigs before I settled for a MB combo).
