Decent Straps

Try Moody Leather over in the states. I've got one and it's fantastic, you completely forget that the bass is there. Mine's plain black with cream stitching and suede underside. Costs about £130 though, that's your down fall.

Levy's are always a safe option too!

Try Minotaur, based in Greece. They have an online shop and have a good range of top quality leather straps. I have a couple of 4 inch wide padded straps in plain black but they also do fancier straps (eg, with musical note in contrast colour, a la Stevie Ray Vaughan).

I got the Eagle Mountain SRV "Note" strap - eg http://www.gjsguitars.com/eagle-mountain-s...essories-straps - I didn't pay that much for it though. Sturdy and comfy on my Jazz bass.

My favourite strap is the D'Addario with the sliding shoulder strap. No more shirt-tugs! They're hard to come by these days though - I got my most recent from www.shopoftheworld.com, couldn't find them in a recent search though.
