Anyone know why the box for the video is empty on my computer and i get a small symbol up in the top left hand corner? Sorry to hijack the thread, it happens a lot on basschat to me.

Although I have never tried it myself, I can't imagine there would be any damage. The finish on basses is normally waterproof. If the bass wasn't plugged in I can't see the electrics being damaged either. As long as the bass isn't left wet then there shouldn't be a risk of rust or warping. Don't quote me on that though.

Hi and welcome from a fellow noob. Are u the only bassist in Finland?

I'm thinking of a getting a Fender in the summer and thought since I'll only get about £100 for the old bass is it worth defretting it. Considering I'm not really very experienced in this sort of thing is it a good idea? Suggestions please. It's an Aria IGB-40 btw, bought for £180.

Go for something off ebay might be a good idea. Otherwise have a look at Kustom. I've got one and find it's very good and they cost around £60 i think. I guess other people will have better suggestions though.

Been listening to 'Them Bones' by Alice in Chains -in 7/8. Also, i think Soundgarden use a weird time signature in 'Black Hole Sun'.
