  1. Bought a Hartke Kilo from John.... A lovely bloke and a real pleasure to deal with ........ what else can I say ..... I was so at ease with the bloke and I knew what the amp could do already and one look at the kit and his other gear and I didn't need to plug in and 'tyre kick'. Bought without trying it out and it works perfectly.... Cannot give a better recommendation than that! Mark
  2. i have a lava red yamaha bb714bs.....the billy sheehan model, super lows with a slimmer neck....... i have self fitted it with a kahler bass trem which works perfectly....i did however chip it slightly with the router see photo...... so cosmetically its 8/10, soundwise its like a concrete rhinocerous playing a buzzsaw on its bellend with the added attraction of divebombs to make even the most self absorbed six stringer make one of those "whose stealing my limelight" faces.... i have another in black which i use at every gig so this isnt anything to do with the bass... but im looking to circumvent the missus' and her "how much do you spend on gear?" Analytical household accounting system in my pursuit of other gear. In Manchester. So in conclusion its a rock/metal monster with a tremolo arm fitted for shitz n giggles. The chip bugs the hell out of me cos I did it, bu does it look that bad - probably not Photos attached show the bass (note the black one in the photogets played at every gig every weekend and the red one sounds exactly the same)..... Am open to realistic offers on this one but lets not do the whole "will I accept £200 routine?" the kahler shipped from the states almost cost that. message on here or text 07741 253630

  6. Good god???? A new year bump and even a crazy new year sale price drop to £500.00 .... now its not pristine nick, but it aint battered and bruised either, i would class it as 8.5/10 at worst ....so?? any takers before i start thinking of part ex'ing it in a music shop and end up feeling like ive been violated into the bargain...
  7. apologies for the repost - the original appears to have varnished!
  8. What can I tell you, well its 2 yrs old it has 12 band eq, dual band compressor, valve drive with blend, 2 x 10 cab with hi freq tweeter, which is switchable. More outputs on the back than you can shake a stick at including 3 di's. The effects loop is a thing of beauty its a dual band thing so you can have seperate effects for the high end and low end, eg. You don't want your chorus effect muddying the low end well with the high pass effects loop you won't. Synth effects through low end etc. Footswitch supplied with switches for mute/comp/fx loop/valve drive/trace pre shape and eq on/off operation so that's a multitude of functions at your feet. All in all its a pretty impressive piece of pro kit and has served me well, so why am I flogging it then eh? That's a question I would ask! I have turned my basses into dual output things and have adapted my rig to suit, 2 preamps n a power amp and part of the deal was 1 in 1 out with the missus. Combo has a couple of years warranty left with peavey Ok to the nitty gritty. Am looking for a good price for a pro piece of gear £500.00 that's half the price (ish) of a new un. think they sell at around the £1400 mark. Cheers for reading Mark
  9. up for sale is my trace elliot 1210 2 x 10 bass combo; 500 watts and basically an all singing all dancing bass combo with about as many options sound and performance wise as you could possibly need. Comes with footpedal to on/off the trace preset sound/ the valve circuit/ the 12 band EQ/ the dual band compressor / the effects loop(s) and a mute button as well.... yes thats 6 on off buttons. what else??? ok here we go DI facility - 3 DI's thats pre EQ and post EQ left / right or mono - so you can run 1 or all 3 to the desk....???? Effects loops - this is what drew me in initially - option of 2 effects loops - hi and low or full on everything through. My personal preference was to run the high end through an effects unit adding drive/enhancer/delay/chorus/flanger etc etc to the high end only leaving the low end as dry bass. You could also with that setup have summat like say a syn th effect on the low end for dub like low end effects as well .... the options are limited only by your imagination really. Dual band compressor - again my preference was compressing the bejesus out of the high end and minimal comp to the low end... Trace preshape/12 band EQ/Valve drive circuit with blend between solid state and valve sound (pretty much the same setup as a multitude of other amps provide so am not selling this as a unique issue) I have used this amp for over 2 years and had a blast with it, i have got some very sheehan and geddy lee esque sounds out of it and it sounded epic.... Its a reluctant sale, however i have dual outputted my basses and need a 2 preamp and 1 power amp setup... New these things are about £1400 or so, and im looking at around the £650 mark.... Mark
  10. give me an idea of what you are looking for?
  11. For what its worth guys i have a BB714BS in black like this one and its the bass i have been searching for for ever! I had an attitude but my little w***ing spanners hurt from playing the neck....it is designed by Mr Sheehan who has hands like frigging shovels FFS!...anyhow the 714BS is everything sound wise that the attitude is without the strained hands! I get feedback on mine which is pretty sweet! I am looking to buy another one, but i want the red one ..... and im gonna put a trem on it ) cos im a sick muthafukka hahahaha Good luck with the sale and, i repeat the BS is an exploding rock rhinocerous of a bass........
