@ead I couldn’t agree more. I own a full fat California VM5 too and if it weren’t for the fancy finish on the VM you’d never guess that the Electra was the “inferior” instrument. For a start, the Electra has higher output and is much lighter.

@CameronJ Thanks for that, now I've got full-on Sandberg Electra GAS. Doh! 

@discreet considering how cheaply they can be picked up on the used market, they’re a low-risk introduction to the Sandberg product range. The added bonus is that I don’t feel bad for modding mine. If I’m ever stupid enough to sell it I know I’ll regret it deeply.
