  1. … I’ve got one at home sitting on the pedal shelf. I’ll have a look later for you, I suppose it would depend on how much gain you have on the low and high settings? Presumably the effect bypassed would be the same as using the low and high gains fully off?
  2. … what Moog do you have out of curiosity? Also what sort of effects do you use with it? I’ve a Moog Subsequent 25 (and a Bass Station 2) and not sure what kind of board to build for them? I know it’ll be music dependant, but just to point me in the right direction lol!
  3. Great price and a cool serial number 😎 GLWTS
  4. Hey, just seen the reply. The Cali 76 comps are not as warm as other comps. If warmth is what you are after, rather than light drive etc then an optical comp is what I’d go for instead. They, by their nature (design) have a slower response and I find fatten up your bass tone in a very musical way. A favourite of mine is the Lusithand Alma comp (now on their Mk3 variant, all versions are great). You could go down the route of an optical comp and a light drive pedal to give a bit of hair if needed? As far as I can tell, the Origin Effects 76 bass comps are clearer sounding and know for being able to be very quick acting. If you wanted a bit of drive (when pushed) from one of those, the V1 run at 9V would be the one to go for. As another option, the Origin Effects DCX Bass is a lovely pedal for EQ and drive of varying amounts, but a higher cost compared to eg full sized Spark Booster.
  5. … some comps can distort in a nice way when pushed hard eg the V1 Origin Effects Cali 76 Compact Bass can distort when pushed in a way that some people like (and also add some compression), the Markbass Compressore is a valve based compressor, and when the gain on that is maxed it does lead to some nice light overdrive (with compression again lol). So you wouldn’t need a comp if you went down that route.
  6. Yeah, I wanted the smaller size as when I plan to play it (at church) it’ll be in combo with electric bass, so I didn’t want to lug loads of extra stuff about. Also the price I got it for was pretty good tbh 👍🏻. The Grandmother was on my possible list due to the larger keybed, but I thought presets would come in very useful. Lastly reading the Moog forums, there seemed to be a few problems that could occur, so buying new with an extended warranty (don’t normally get those) seemed to be prudent! ps. I’ve also just pulled the trigger on a Novation BSII, and trying to find a DSI Mopho SE ha ha. I seem to have a Monosynth mania at the moment, no need for any polyphonicness for me 🤣
  7. Hey all, Recently got one of these before the prices shot up! Great sounds can be had, would have preferred a higher level of QC but all works so overall okay. Now to see if I can transfer the lines I can play on my basses to this ha ha 😁!
  8. Hey all, just purchased a strap from Abd I’ve been wanting to try for ages. Well packaged, good comms and great price. So all good and I’d happily deal with again, thank you very much. Peace.
  9. .. just sold some bits and bobs back to Frank. All good as usual and would happily deal with again. Top BCer!
  10. Hey all, Just answered a wanted add from Brian for a comp. Quick communication, trustworthy and no issues whatsoever. Would definitely deal with again. Peace.
  11. Hey all, just sold Simon a PSU. All good from my end and would happily deal with again no issues. Peace.
  12. Hey all, just sold a pedal to Rich. All good and would happily deal with again. Peace.
  13. Man, that is a great price Paddy! I‘m tempted to buy it back lol (but I won’t as I don’t need two again). Lovely pieces of gear, with the Aux in and headphone out it can also be a great portable practice solution if powered via a battery bank 👍🏻. GLWTS.
