  1. The only thing that could be better on my 300 ist he weight. But the tone on the other hand... 🙂
  2. Fil1ip....you are not the first one to notice that .... 😂😂
  3. So it is still for sale? 3 days ago a friend asked for a 1024...
  4. I think it's already sold?
  5. By the way, this is a copy of the BB1000MA pick up ring. The original one is made from diecast nickel-plated steel, the copy from aluminum. The lightweight of that thing in comparison is freaky 😛
  6. This one? https://www.vinylrevolution.co.uk/
  7. The problem is to find someone who does this 100%. I did not find one yet. Bigger foiling companies often don't waste time for a small wrapping like for a bass..
  8. You are lucky with that price for a new finish! A metal flake or metallic pro job is in Germany about 600-700 Euros... 😞
  9. At least Michael Anthony is consequent concerning his likes...
  10. I have two dreams ! 😛
  11. Wow, thank you !! Looks so cool. I have to admit the illuminated Yamaha fretmarks look better than any led I've ever seen! I have a dream !
  12. Please.... red sparkle............ 🙂
  13. I like Michaels signature flame bass 🙂
  14. I'm still begging for a red sparkle BB pic .. 🙂 For this bass I bought a neck that was as expensive as the bass. It looked cool but sounded crap 😝
  15. Please do so ... 😄
  16. And....could you do a red sparkle one for me???? ðŸĪŠ 🙈
  17. Holy Moly....... are you mad????? How can you post a pic of such awesome finishes on BB's ???? I won't sleep for weeks now !!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Somehow this is the most uninteresting BB of all for me. Nothing ist really BB...the shape, no pickup rings...the knobs.... not my choice. It might be a good bass though!
  19. Ordered a copy of the p-pick up ring from a metalworker. It is on it's way. To keep it low cost it was made from aluminum. Not sure if that will work for me. But if it does, there will more be following and even some in brass for gold hardware. It is so much fun playing around with that stuff. And for my new old 300 I took the ring from one of my 1000MA's. But that bass wants it back ! 😄
  20. I once had a 1024x. It surely felt somehow more high end than the 400 series, yes. Everything feels a bit like an upgrade. But although it has the "better" pu's and everything, I liked the 400 series better. The 1024x was heavier and somehow sounded not as "fresh" as my 1000's or the 400 series. So it had to go I think 3 weeks after I bought it. Maybe it is a psychological thing... If a "cheap" bass sounds very good I love that bass, while when an expensive bass sounds good, it is what is expected of it to do. I owned (in my younger years) anything from Wals (3) to Modulus, several Status, Warwicks etc etc... and to be honest, I miss some of them now because I know their today's market price ( oh man..) but not because I miss their sound! Edit: But I love my 1000MA's because every time I enter a studio it is this bass that get's the job! No matter what other bass was arround. So I am happy.
  21. Then I'll order two beers. Guinness is the Yamaha BB amongst beers 😍
  22. That's exactly my situation with my 1000MA's. I owned about 15 (?) BB's in total but I only play my 1000MA's. I sold even the 3000 and the 3000MA (besides two 1600, 1024, several 414.424,614) but every time I am in love with anything else and then play the 1000MA again... it's clear that this is my bass. Sometimes I just don't realize that I found my bass and tone and feel many years ago. Well, it is so much fun buying another bass, but in the end it always comes down to my two- for me - very special basses. I do need a different tone from time to time for more hifi sounds on recordings. But my fingers fuse with the fretboard on this bass like with no other. If I would realize this there would be no reason for any new bass and this for about 20 years backwards now. Thank god I'm not that smart ! 😛 And sorry for my bad English- I'm trying ðŸĪŠ I can oder a beer but telling a story forwards / backwards ... I am still struggling ! 😉
  23. They need to bring back the BB's with pick up rings! Nothing else matters 😎
  24. The BB's are not heavy at all ðŸĪĢ Why chambering? Do this to a WAL ...
  25. I dislike that the new BB's have smaller bodies. Strange move to a bass that was called a "BB"....
