Finally decided to let this gorgeous bass go. It has one of the most eye-catching tops and sounds awesome but it just isn't getting played so... This is a Carvin 6 through neck, weighing 4.2kg, with a top nut of 48mm, string spacing of 16.5 and a superb low action. The bass has a shallow neck profile so it plays smoothly and easily. A vast range of tones from the active system and it is easy to find the sound you want.

The MarkBass Nano Mark 300 is the smallest amp in the Mark series yet. Weighing in at around 1.6kg with dimensions of 20.5cm x 5.5cm x 23.5cm this is an incredibly small amplifier that is still loaded up with the classic MarkBass tone. Even though it is tiny this amplifier is 100% giggable with a full 4 band EQ and 300w of power under the hood just plug this in to any available cab and you will get powerful sound everywhere you go. Simple Design The MarkBass Nano Mark 300 doesn't need any fancy controls to get you great tone. While other small amplifiers still try and cram in every last bit of tech possible MarkBass have opted for a more simple route. While still having all of the connectivity you need this amp focuses on giving you great warm tones out Signature Power Amp MarkBass pride themselves on their incredible power amps that can be found in all of their small and portable amps. Named MBPT this ultra linear frequency response power amplifier is designed to deliver the same transparent tone that MarkBass are well known for. This is technology that is not often used on smaller and lighter weight amplifiers that try to colour the sound to match certain larger valve amps. Full Featured All of this focus on control and tone doesn't mean you are missing out on any must have features. The Nano Mark 300 still features an XLR output for straight to the board DI signals as well as an effects loop and tuner output. Even when getting an amp this small your don't need to compromise on tone or usability anymore. Specifications Preamp - Solid State Power Amp - MPT Power - 300W@4ohm / 150W@8ohm Power Supply - Special Markbass Digital Power Supply EQ - LOW, MID/LOW, MID/HIGH, HIGH Other features XLR Line Out | Tuner Out | FX Send/Return | Pre/Post EQ and GND Lift switches Dimensions - 8.3" / 20.5cm (w) | 2.16" / 5.5cm (h) | 9.25" / 23.5cm (d) Weight - 3.52 lbs / 1.6 kg

I bought this new recently but I've decided to stick with small cab and separate amp. It hasn't been gigged and only used for a couple of hours at home. Absolutely mint condition, awesome quality. Details: http://pjbworld.com/...asscub_top.html Pics to follow but it is exactly as described on the PJB web site. Comes with the PJB padded gig bag and cable.

I'm considering parting with my G&L L1500 4 string bass - made in the USA. It has one of the loveliest necks and a great range of sounds. It has a swamp ash body making for a total weight of just nudging 9lbs, a 41mm top nut, 19mm string spacing, and is a 34" scale. The controls are volume, treble and bass with an Active/Passive EQ boost toggle and a Series/Parallel toggle. The bridge is super allowing for easy string change, easily adjustable action and great resonance. It's been set-up with new Elixir strings and a fairly low action. Comes with a deluxe, fitted hard case. The only issue for me is the size of the body - as with all Fender-inspired designs, I find the body size just a little too big for comfort over a long gig.
Are you sure about the string spacing ? Usually it's 16,25 mm at the bridge by Carvin.
Cheers, you are correct and the string spacing is, indeed, 16.5mm. However, using my pre-decimal school ruler shows 18mm, which just goes to show how going metric shrunk things!

Selling or trading this superb Carvin 6 as it unlikely to get the use it deserves. It has one of the most beautiful pieces of top wood that I have seen for a long time. With a high gloss finish the bass just oozes quality. It is a Lightweight, 34" scale, 48mm top nut, 16.5mm string spacing. The weight is approx 4.5kg according to my luggage scales. The through neck construction is beautifully done and the shallow neck profile makes for effortless playing - as effortless as you can be with 6 strings to contend with

Pictures to come later but up for sale is my superb Staccato '51 amp plus RC4 footswitch, cables, manual and TC gig bag. All in Great condition. Some details below. Asking for £SOLD inc shipping to mainland UK. I have reduced the price to reflect the fact that the mute button has a hairline crack. I have dropped a little Superglue onto the button and all works perfectly well. The buttons cost £1 so I'm informed and are fairly straightforward to replace. Everything else is superb! Based upon TC's best-selling RH450 head, the Staccato 51, and as such has all the unique features of the 450 such as Tubetone Technology, Spectra Comp per-string compression and integrated fast-tracking chromatic tuner. The Staccato however is voiced for Rocco's unique "Finger Style Funk" playing with accentuated highs and lows and fast, accurate response. Here's what TC Electronic say about the Staccato 51 The bass world's response to our introduction of award winning RH450 and Classic450 has been overwhelming. Now, with the help of a true world-class bass legend, we introduce our third amp to deliver instant world-class bass tone - we are proud to present our cooperation with, Tower Of Power's Rocco Prestia on Staccato'51 Think of legendary bass players and Francis Rocco Prestia features on every list. For over 40 years now Rocco's bass has been underpinning the groove for Californian funk legends Tower of Power. In that time Rocco has defined his own style and become synonymous with the much-imitated 'Finger Style Funk' that he pioneered back in the '60s and '70s. Now TC and Rocco have joined forces to make Staccato'51 - a custom-tuned version of the RH450 that's been made to Rocco's exact specification and ear. It may look like the RH450 bass head, but the sound design is completely different and meets the demands of a legend like Rocco Prestia - both on stage and in the studio. Rocco's sound design on Staccato'51 fits his legendary finger-muting technique like a glove. The full-bodied tone with plenty of highs and lows as well as the ultra fast precision response enhances the percussive elements of Rocco's playing to perfection. In addition to the sheer tone shaping, Rocco has added a touch of our SpectraComp per-string compression to tighten the sound even more. And finally a touch of TubeTone brings out the growl of Staccato'51 when really digging into those low-end notes with his powerful right hand technique. To achieve perfect tone, Rocco pairs his Staccato'51 with a stack of our RS cabinets - An RS410 and two RS212s - giving him both punch and enough low end to stand out on stage with the 10-piece Tower of Power band.
