  2. Brand new and still in the box - taken out to check! I bought this on a whim over Christmas because of its small footprint and range of great tones. It's a superb effects unit and does sound great. However, post-Christmas I can now see I'm not really going to get much use out of it so here it is! It comes with the Boss Mains Adaptor, which is usually sold separately. Looking for £135 plus shipping. The Boss GT-1 is a state of the art, multi-effects pedal designed to give you unparalleled sound and exceptional portability. The Boss GT-1 takes its sounds from the top of the range Boss GT-100, giving you access to tones you'd typically expect to hear on much more expensive multi-effects processors. Boss GT-1 features standard effects like overdrive and delay, along with reverb and chorus, plus Boss's MDP technology and utility effects like guitar simulation. They've also thrown in a looper for good measure. The GT-1 is built like a tank, making it the ideal travel partner for gigs. It should slip conveniently into your travel bag. It's either battery or mains powered so you can plug in or take advantage of up to 7 hours of battery life on 4AA batteries. This guitar pedal is really easy to use straight out of the box so even if you're a bit of a technophobe, you'll find yourself fully immersed in the GT-1 for hours on end. Having said that, its loaded with state of the art technology for more technical applications. Youtube:
  3. Finally decided to opt for a custom 5 build. I wanted something lightweight, slim neck profile, E-C tuning and as versatile tone-wise as could be! After several 'chats' with Jose - Mr Merlos - the spec is as follows: 33" Scale Body - Alder Top - Poplar Neck through 3 piece with Carbon Fibre Fingerboard - Birdseye Maple Single Coil Pick-ups (Merlos Custom) Active/Passive Electronics (Merlos Custom) Hardware - Black/Gold Pictures below for your delectation...
  4. Bought for a project that hasn't materialised, this new Faith elecro-acoustic is now surplus to requirements. The Faith FVBMB Venus is a stunning electro acoustic guitar with an all solid wood construction. New for 2016 it utilises solid Javanese Trembesi. and finished in Blood Moon Burst. This beautiful acoustic guitar has been crafted using solid figured Javanese Trembesi. It is quite similar to Hawaiian Koa and sounds tonally close to mahogany. Indigenous to Indonesia it has been used by furniture makers for years. It still provides enough top end sparkle to cut through though. The Blood Moon Faith FVBMB Venus comes with some great electronics. It has been fitted with the Shadow Performer Tuner Preamp. It includes a tuner for convenience. This is a great setup for gigging musicians. The FVBMB also ships with its own hard case and humidifier. (Stock pictures but the guitar is exactly like this and in pristine condition. Looking for £675 inc shipping to mainland UK or, preferably trade for a decent bass. Youtube:

  8. Considering selling my Limited Edition Red TC G System. It is a fantastic piece of kit and is, by far, the best on the market for the quality of sounds and ease of use. It's not getting much use at the moment so it might as well go to someone who intends to use it to its full! The Unit does have a few light scratches from use but these are superficial. Looking for £425 plus shipping. I may consider a trade for a decewnt Jazz bass or similar. Most Multi FX units are designed to plug into the front of your amp and kind of take over the sound, replacing all the tones & overdrives in your amp, with FX from the floor or rack unit. Not so with the TC Electronic G System. The G System is for people who have a great amp, that they really like the sound of, & just want to add FX to. There are lots of clever things about a G System & there are pages of info about it on their web site, but this is our shortened version! Basically you plug your guitar into the G System, then from the G System to your amp (like a normal FX unit), then from your amp's FX send you go back to the G System & from the G System back to the FX return on your amp. Now you've hooked the unit up, you can decide where abouts in the chain your FX will go. For example, you'd put a good compressor & maybe a chorus in front of your amp, but then assign the reverb & the delay to work through the FX loop. There are no distortion effects in the G System - it's designed to be used with your amps overdrive sounds - however, you can loop in your own existing pedals (maybe you've got a Tube Screamer you really like) to the G System & again assign them to the relevant place in the chain. The G System can also be linked to the channel switch input on your amp, and so with one press of a button on the G System you can change channels, change your digital FX, & switch in an external pedal(s) - all in one go. The G System can work as a rack unit or as a floor unit - this is a really clever piece of design - look at their site for more pictures. This is a pro level FX unit & you're going to have to read the manual in order to get the most out of this device - if that's not your bag then stick to buying high quality individual pedals, but if you don't mind a bit of manual reading, then the G System could well be the solution you've been looking for! Here's what TC say about the G System More than Meets the Eye G-System is the world's first complete high quality floor based Guitar System. Delivering a complete and uncompromised package of effects, control and integration, no other product will match the flexibility or the quality of the G-System. With its unique combination of two DSP sections providing the very highest quality effects on the market, analog loops, amp switching, floor control, and even 9VDC power outputs for your pedals, the G-System offers the highest level of integration attainable. Choose between a rack or a floor based setup, decide how the effects are routed, tailor the foot switch layout, and choose from more than 25 different on-board effects. There are pages & pages of info about this, so you might like to visit the TC Electronic Site for more. www.tcelectronic.com/G-System

  17. An absolutely beautiful bass, both in construction and sound. The attention to detail from this Italian boutique luthier is superb. From the choice of woods to electronics, this bass - which costs £2400 new for the basic model - is right up there with some of the best. It has a neck-through construction, which gives it a lovely resonance. I took the bass in a trade and would love to say it was a keeper. Unfortunately, the neck, at 42mm top nut, is the standard P bass profile, which I find too large for me, particularly after a long gig. Other than that the bass is really lovely. It's light, balances really well and feels so easy to play (providing you like a P bass neck profile ). Immaculate apart from one very small glaze craze on the underside of the bottom bout, difficult to see and picture easily.
