Firstly, this is a Stratocaster style guitar using some Fender sourced parts. The pick-ups and scratchplate are a generic type sourced from a reputable supplier. Secondly, just to be absolutely clear, this is not a genuine full spec Fender guitar. The guitar has been set-up beautifully and plays really nicely. There is no fret wear, the fretboard is superb and the action is medium/low. You have the usual range of Strat sounds with the volume, tone, tone and 5-way selector. There are some very slight marks on the body but nothing detrimental to the looks or sound. A real peach of a guitar that sounds as good as it looks. Looking for £295 plus shipping.

The 'second' cavity appears to be the original pick-up position - see image below for early Pro 1 fretless. The second cavity is now where the later models have the pick-up or when the bass has two pick-ups fitted. II guess an ideal solution would be to return the pick-up to its original position and find a replacement scratchplate...easier said than done!!

A piece of history 😀 This is a Wal Pro 1 lined fretless 4 string. With the launch of the Pro bass, at the end of 1977, early 1978, Electric Wood, the company that became Wal, started officially. This bass is from 1978 - based on the serial number and verified by the Wal database. The bass features the famous single Wal pick-up and a small switch that provides a series/parallel mode. The simple volume and tone control give you precisely what you need with no frills! The only modification made, very early on apparently, was the addition of a second pick-up cavity, which allows the pick-up to be relocated - no change to the wiring as the pick-up is attached to a pcb. The bass is in great condition for a 40 year old! There is very little marking on the fretboard, but the body does show a few signs of wear...don't we all!! The blanking plate for the second cavity is looking tired and, if I were to keep it, I'd change the plate. The bass comes with a brand new Thomann ABS hard case. I'm asking £1950, which I think is a fair price considering the few marks and the modification.

I received this in a part-ex deal recently. It's a lovely amp, loads of power and that unmistakeable Markbass sound. I have no need of another amp head so... The Head is in overall good condition but, as shown, there are some very light scratches on the top and bottom, which obviously do not affect the sound etc

After being ripped off by builders, it is with huge regret, that I'm having to put this brand new Merlos Custom 5 up for sale. The normal retail price on this would be just north of £3000, but I got a little bit of a deal (not that much!!) so I can make this affordable. I might be up for a trade - 4 or 5 string - providing I can sell my Chapman Stick, which is also up for grabs. Looking for £1900 (never played) or trade to the value of £2200.
