2. Hi John, thanks for that and really nice tunes but not entirely my thing I'm afraid. Best of luck getting the right man for the job! Cheers, Steve
3. What's the date again today? Welll yesterday was March 31st, nothing special about that, and today is.... oh yeah! LOL
4. I'm looking for a new rock band based in West London/Bucks area, either starting one or joining an established one. Into: Lit, Sugarcult, American Hi-Fi, Sugar Ray, No Doubt, Kiss, Velvet Revolver, Skid Row, Buckcherry, Aerosmith, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Shinedown, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Queens of The Stone Age, Led Zeppelin, Rage Against The Machine, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ryan Bingham, Johnny Cash, Faith Hill...all sorts really. I'm open to doing most things rock/metal/punk. I'm already doing a covers band that's been going for years but I need to get back to playing original material too! Me ----> Enough gear to drown out Motorhead -----> Plus the Ampeg killer rig....

Is it rare because the standard model shipped with 4 strings?
6. I bought an In Ear Monitor from Stan. Great communication, top bloke, the kit all arrived packed up super safely! Definitely recommended!! Thanks again mate Steve
7. I'll go measure and weigh it today for you mate...
8. It has 2 sets of saddles, Billy & Bob. Billy is smooth, Bob is grooved.
9.
Can this be fitted onto a bass with 5 holes for the bridge? Would drilling it be required? Cheers, Craig
Yes it can apparently. Have a read through this thread, Badass Thread Cheers

13. Friday BUMP! C'mon, you know you want to buy her, she's very lovely, nice bottom end, she doesnt hiss, she responds well, and looks very pretty with a nice head on top!
14.
SB-1000 = Epoxy-potted Black Box (at least on the Series 1, not sure about the S2). As far as I could make out from some terminal forensic examination of mine, it's just a unity-gain buffer. All the tone controls appear to be passive. So not really "active" as we generally use the term. I binned mine & wired it all passive - simples. Pete.
Thanks for all the advice guys, I think I'm going to leave this bass on eBay for someone else to pick up... It has been relisted 4 times already, with no bids each time anyway. The risk of buying a dud that i have to refit with new parts and end up losing the great BB circuit sound makes it pointless buying it in the first place. I'll just be patient, a good series 2 SB1000 will surface soon, hopefully! Cheers!
15. Can anyone help with an Aria SB1000 query? I've been offered a 1983 SB1000 that's up for sale. Its in great nick, it just has one problem but I'm not sure if it's an easy repair or not? Its fine until your switch it active, then the sounds distorts. Is this an easy repair do you know? I'm hesitant to buy it if the BB circuit is crewed and not repairable! Cheers Steve
16. Another crack at designing what I want.... Why can't I make up my mind?? This is the one I reckon...
17. New Aria CSB350 appeared on ebay just now.... click here
18. You're better off using your travel money to Denmark Street on a few pints instead. Like everyone else has already said, do not bother with them... There's nowhere decent left on the street, The Gallery is great, but sell your MIM P here first then go to the Gallery, or even have a day out on the coast and check out GAK in Brighton, they usually have a pretty good selection in stock.
19. On a MIM Jazz, the 5 drilled holes don't match up to the 3 holes on a Badass III...
20. Welcome to basschat mate! Whereabouts on the south coast are ya?
