  1. I hope I get to be as good as you guys one day. Being playing for about 2 months, about an hour a day. Can just about pluck a major and minor chord, slowly.

  5. Hi, as you have changed the strings, you would have spotted any issues with the tuners, I have read tuners can be an issue on recent 34s.
  6. Hi, I may be asking the impossible but could a Fender P bass with upgraded pickups get close to the sound/ tone of a stingray or GL with their humbuckers? I would think a P bass is not going to take a humbucker without a lot of work and modifications.

  15. Absolute beginner, mid fifties. Been wanting to give the Bass a go for a while. Just finished a Masters so I now have the time. My fingers feel like sausages on the frets but looking forward to beginning this odyssey. I'm wondering how many hours of practice a day I will need to be competent not expert? Currently murdering ant tune on a Yamaha RBX 270 in the right hands it sounds fantastic.
