I've seen G.D twice -both at Old Trafford(Lancs.CC)
Brilliant each time, but for the life of me I still cant get what all the A O bollox was all about.
just thought I 'd chuck a 2p into the mix.

You can't educate pork.
Play boyzone and Val Doonican and you'll be bombarded with punters. Whatever you do don't play decent music.

Yer bang on there MrT.
you cant polish a turd either-how are you enjoying the chorus pedal,

Had a great time yesterday,
I thought there was some great Bands lined up for today-but it looks like the weather has won this round -

My band are playing one of the fringe events.
Avoid the main festival. It's just licence for local louts to drink in the street to a soundtrack of imitators and copycats. The whole thing is indicative of how lacking in culture the local council are.
unfortunatly-the best i can offer-local lout,albeit as a commuter -

here we go- apologies for the delay
settings for uprising by muse.
using the Boss GT-6B,In addition I use the Autowah function to run in conjunction with the Synth for a bit of variation sound pretty cool
Synth Settings
wave-SAW
Oct Shift -1
Noise LvL 6
Sens 60
Hold-off
Resonance 10
Cut off Freq.100
Depth 100
Decay 100
Synth LvL 65(or adj to suit)
Dir.LvL 70
Bend off
Pitch min +2
Pitch max +16
Autowah settings
LPF
Rate 10
Depth 60
Freq 10
Peak 20
Polarity up
Sensitivity 8
LVL 100
I also use the Octave setting with the AutoWah during the quiet parts with the following settings
Octave-Heavy mix,
Effect LVL 100
Direct LVL 100
These are not exact(but are pretty close imo and for a multi fx they arent bad) and may need a bit of tweaking on your part, but they will get you by in a gig situation-well they do for me
If you tweak the resonance, synth lvl and dir lvl to 20,46 and 40,you can get a pretty good effect for TIRO(using only the synth and nothing else.)
Enjoy,

Thanks Trev I'll give that a try

If I get time later on(only if i get the old oven disconnected)I'll post my settings. -
I use the Boss GT-6B,and I find the synth square wave setting-with a few tweeks here and there gets pretty close,
not that the punters will notice

Thank's for the comments Guys!
yup sometimes it's a pain being a Lefty when bass gas develops -
Well BCer's
I have Finally!!! managed to get my mitts on a lefthanded Sandberg JM4,
after months of searching for the right one, I can honestly say that the wait was worth it,
I did look at some on Thomann but the JM4(sorry they are now called TM's )where not available till later this month.I tried Synergy dist.but I would've had to wait till mid Nov.such is the demand.
I played it through my BG250 for the first time today-and the sound was incredible.

I was in a bandless position a few years back,so i went out to lots of jam nights, and even ended up depping for a few bands in rehearsals-just to stay sharp-It certainly improved my game and made me a better player-it also rekindled my enthusiasm-then the offers came-now i have 2 bands-just keep going 6months is nothing.
just my 0.02p;s worth -
A pleasure Alan,
nice chatting to you,

Aye don't get your bass butchered!
Instead why not go for a 2nd hand Squier PJ Special if you really want to experiment?
I had one which I upgraded the pup's in and to be honest it still sounded crap, ended up playing it with the J pup turned off.
and yeah I'm older than 30.
Yup I did a similar thing-only I ended up diconnecting the J pup-only because it sounded weak on its own,
I've one the VMJ's now for that particular sound.
and I am older than 30 -
Sale Pending!!!!

Hi I also have the GT6-B,
I find that not using the parametric eq works best for me(theres to many factors involved for me-)but its important not to lose the clean sound-I tend to use distirtion/clean with a setting of 30/35 and adjust the drive to suit your taste with the overall effects level set at 114/
these are my personal settings and i find they work well for me but may not suit you/
hope this helps
