  2. So I bought this as a natural and passive. It's now running the brilliant Aguiler OBP-1, and has been refinished in lime white wax and shellac. It's good, not perfect. Humbucker is Cat's Whiskers (UK and handwound). About 8lbs, plays brilliantly. Hipshot Ultralite tuners and La Bella Low Tension strings. Luthier setup. 2 pickguards (holes are filled but easy to adapt back). Can courier. Any questions, just ask.
  3. I have the Cal TT SL, and an Electra VS4. Then added a Lionel and an Electra VM4 (P + MM). The last one has started to really grow on me, mixing growl and thump. The cheaper ones got some enthusiastic upgrades but they were really excellent instruments already. There's not a bad one amongst them, always a joy to play.
  4. Great little amp, home use only.

  5. Great practice lump if you're a 15" fan! Good condition, not perfect but fully functioning. Grill in correct acoustic cloth!
  6. Light domestic use only. Can courier. 8" Speaker Only 5.2 kg Balanced XLR Line Out, Ext Speaker Output Level and VPF Controls The Markbass Micromark 801 is a lightweight, 45W bass combo amp with an 8" speaker. The 801 is the big brother to the original Micromark which had a 6" speaker. The concept of the Micromark remains in the 801, providing a lightweight, user friendly and professional sounding amp. The 8" speaker allows for a more clear bass response which remains tight and punchy in tone and at 5.2 kg, this amp is unrivalled in it's practicality.
  7. Certainly looks it. NW bodies terrify me as you have to drill your own bridge earth to cavity hole!
  8. So, the pocket width at the bottom of the neck is the same. Jazz neck tapers sooner. So a J neck in a P body is a tiny bit gappy (less than 1mm) but spoils the perfection! A P neck in J body us likely to split the paint on the fragile side of the body. That's my experience....
  9. Following intensive research, the MM humbucker likes a preamp. Ft. The SB14 Noe Dart Here...
  10. This one is a bit special. Started as ebony/black special edition. Now has: Aguilar preamp. (vol, blend, stacked B&T) 2 x Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders. Hipshot lollipop tuners. Routed for weight reduction. Now 4.3kg or 9lb 7oz. Anodised pickguard. Fully shielded. Case. All work by actual luthier, not me! Can ship 4 string trades possible, but only posh ones 😂🛳️

  11. Bought new December 2024. Light home practice only. DELANO SBC series bass pickups are dual or quad-coil electric bass humbuckers in the classic bass soapbar shapes, available for four, five, six and seven-string basses. They represent the leading edge in dedicated bass transducer technology. Unbelievably full and open sound throughout the entire spectrum with tight bottom, airy midrange and heavenly harmonics unrivalled by ANY other bass pickup. Finally your bass CAN sound like it should. Available as individual units or in perfectly matched pairs. The DELANO SBC 4 HE/S was developed to overcome many of the obstacles normally associated with most of the proven dual coil bass humbucking designs. We killed the nasal muddiness, broadened the spectrum and enhanced even order harmonics. Finally there is a bass pickup that perfectly blends the full bodied warmth of a humbucker and the airy openness of the best vintage single coils with crystal clear top end definition into pure luxurious bass tone.
  12. Hi, no heavy ones here. 8lb 13.7oz. John East is the ultimate preamp. It's active, or, pull up the 3rd knob and it's passive, with excellent tone range.
