But what is the pick up from?? I've never seen a bass with anything like that before
I think I can answer that! It's from a Eko. I have a Eko B02 short scale bass with one of these. It sounds fantastic.

I subsequently had a bass build, by Brandoni, using a NOS Eko fretless neck, an unspecified (guitar?) body and two of these pickups. Strangely, they both sound the same - despite being spaced quite far apart.

  4.
fancy a straight trade for a davehall pedal halfway between the vt1 std and the vt1 mk3 http://www.davehallamps.co.uk/Guitar_Pedals.html
same as the mk3 but just no adjusting knob on back.
its in great working orderjust a crap finish by me (sprayed black n looked good but stuck stickers on and its peeled)because of that ill toss in a power adapter for it(woth £15)as it wont run from a standard 9v one.
Thanks for the offer. That'd be a great deal, but (un)fortunately I already have more distortion and fuzz boxes than I really ought!!!

  5. Anyone tried this on bass? Anyone heard of it even?!?!?

Seems quite obscure. Ugly looking - but apparently steel cased....

    Comments?

  6.
Selling my nano bass balls £40 inc postage. I would add a picture but its literally brand new and been on my pedal board, not using because i got a digitech synth wah and have various distortions anyways !! Comes boxed with instructions as well:)
7.
My big board - happily been using for over 4 years without a change.
Snap for three on the big board. The Choralflange, the Dass Drive and the DD-9!

How are you powering it? I found that the Choralflange introduces a load of noise so had to opt for a Voodoo lab - but that only powers 8 pedals...

  8.
Hi,
bit of a long shot, but would you be interested in power soak (Attenuator);http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=92948&hl= plus £15 from you....like i said..a long shot
Ahh - thanks for the interest. Always worth a punt! But sadly, no. Thanks anyway.

  9.
Here's a quick YouTube demo of the bass plugged directly into the computer mic socket...
This is a pretty good demo of why I need a Fender Jazz. Or at least it was until you started that slapping malarky. It's not big, and it's not clever. :)

    Enjoy the free bump!

Nanoverb 16 bit digital Fx processor
Thanks very much PF, but not really my cuppa tea.
Does it come with a PSU Nick?
This has all the original box contents, but a PSU is not included. It does have a parallel 9v output though - so can be used to daisy chain power.

  11.
Tokai have made several copies of Rickenbacker guitars all of which have the usual Tokai logo on the TRC, so if they has at some point made a 4001/4003 copy there no reason the assume that it would have been any different as regards branding.
Excepet, perhaps, a new found awareness of the litigious nature of Rickenbacker.

    Just a thought.

I share your scepticism. Yet the rumour persists and is quite prevailant.

  12.
up for grabs is this cracking clean blend pedal with a built in feedback loop..

Interesting little gadget. I am not buying at the moment though - but I could see this being quite a useful tool.

I am fascinated by the pic though. Surely those potentiometers collide (internally) with the outer-most jack sockets? At least that's how it looks. I wonder how them fit them all in together.

  13.
Gut shot and a close up of the finnish.
You're showing me up. Very neat work!
