Would you consider postage for the bass case?

Just had a look at the Tradetang website. I know they are fakes but i cant help but love that hollow body EB2 style bass.

Tom bought a slightly used set of DR Fatbeams off me recently. Very smooth transaction and absolutely no issues. Pleasure to deal with

Took me a while and a set of Thomastik Flats on my Retrovibe to convert but now everything ive got is flat loaded and i was the staunchest user of DR Fatbeams going!

i had its big brother (HA5500) and ran it thru an Ashdown MAG 410 and MAG 115, amazing sound. I played at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester and every one of our support bands had brought their own amps but ended up using my rig due to its sound. Only reason i reluctently disbanded that rig was major valve GAS

ive recently been converted to flats and restrung my bison with Roto flats from my old faves DR Fatbeams. Both are the same guage but now the action at the body end of the neck appears quite high. The truss rod on a bison is a bit strange in that i have to remove the neck to do it. Meaning that technically i would have to adjust, then re-fit the neck just to see if ive done what i wanted.

Now im pretty tempted to just take it to tech but after 20 years of bass playin i thought its time i got over my truss rod fear. As the action has gone high at the neck end im assuming i need to TIGHTEN the rod as opposed to LOSSENING? If so im just going to take the neck off and give it a tiny turn and then re-fit it. It played superbly before my string change so im assuming its just a mini adjustment and not a full set-up issue?

Im a newly convert to Flats and so my old signature strings (Fatbeams) are no longer required. I have a set on my bison thats seen maybe 4 hours max gentle play. Not rehearsed or gigged so no sweaty hands. Still plently of brightness and zing. Cut to a 4-in-a-row headstock but those who know the bison will realise this is a loooong head stock. Wrapped round the tuning pegs a fair few times too so plenty of string there to fit pretty much any bass. Price wise i recon £15 posted? If not send me an offer.

P.s These are heavy gauge (maybe 50's) im pretty certain, however ive looked online and cant see anything about the Fatbeams being available in this guage so they mustve discontinued possibly. Only reason i know is that i always used 45's and these were a birthday prezzie and seemed far too big. I will try and find original packaging to confirm.

That bridge cover looks close enough really. The only thing putting me off is how its all enclosed with slots for the strings. Id be worried about the strings hitting the sides of the slots (if that makes sence). My bison is one of the early 90's reissues so dosent need to be an absolute copy of the original covers. I have tried burns, not the best customer service ive had. Bascially replied ''dont have them anymore, if we did it wouldnt fit a re-issue. Bye'' Ill keep checking the bay and see what comes up. Afternoon JapCrap Crew . Ive been after a Bison bridge cover for my Burns bass for a while. Whilst i dont expect an original one i was wondering if any of you guys have this particular shape and style knockin round in your 'bits box'?

All ive found so far are P & J type bridges whereas this one is more 'semi circle' in shape.

Have these strings on my Bison Bass, have been used for maybe 3 or 4 rehersals. Still lively and zingy but i am a recent convert to flats and really want some for my beasty bass. They are cut to a 4-in-a-row headstock but it is a REALLY long headstock and i have wrapped the strings round the pegs a fair few times so these should go on pretty much any bass.

Id like to swap for some TI Jazz flats if possible, i understand that due to the above that i may have trouble finding some that have been cut but will still fit so its a bit of a long shot.

Valve amp repair/service + skintypoo = As such im putting out the feeler on my Retrovibe RV4 in Fireglo.

Its recently had a full set-up, new bone nut, new blank truss rod cover, fret level, fret polish, electrics cleaned and fully shielded by Jack Instrument Services in Salford at a cost of £100. Further more a much more robust pickup switch selector has been fitted at a cost of £30. Still have all reciepts

The bass cost me about £280 delivered if i remember rightly so really would like interest at around £300. Now i know these bases are £280 brand new but as per my note in the RV4 thread they do need money spending on them to get them right. Mine is now playing beautifully and ready to gig. Recently fitted with TI Jazz Flats and sounds really beefy. Had to lower the pickups as they were a bit too hot.

Any offers round £300 would be considered.

Pics to follow asap but in the meantime, any questions ask away.

This is only up due to lack of interest in my 12 string acoustic and acoustic bass and expensive amp repair pending

Im probably gonna get shot for saying this in this forum but i really dont rate the Orange Terror Bass. It has limited tonal ranges. Its just a basic hybrid amp. There also appears to be some confusion or whatever that this is a Valve amp. It is not, its a valve pre-amp and solid state power amp. If thats the kind of thing youre looking for then for me the Hartke HA ranges (2500, 3500, 5500) are far superior. Just my two penneth now ill go and grab my tin hat and duck

Forsythes in manc had one the other month. I tried it but opted for an all valve amp instead. Dunno if its still there

Ive got the all black bison bass. My favourite bass ive ever had. Absolutely love it. I have the seetings on 'Bass' selector on 'B' and the tone pretty much all bass. Sounds amazing

Ordered one of these from hartke to put on a 2x15 project. However, project was scrapped and long gone before the badge finally arrived. Sent free so will pass on for the price of postage
