Any offers before t'ebay?
-
Hi,
Im selling my used and gigged Ashdown MAG 300 amp. I bought it a little over 4 months ago from H W Audio in Bolton. It was used then and cost me £170.00. Since ive had it it has been gigged a few times but never really driven. In decent condition exepct for a bit of bobbling on the carpet covering and a few marks on the front (seems someone used a pen to note the settings next to the dials). Ive really not got a clue what these go for on ebay or anything so initially ill say £100 or nearest offer. If more informed people on here think this is way too much let me know. Pics to follow asap -
Howard made me a great custom tort plate for my p-bass project. Great comms throughout, very quick turnaround and most of all a cracking new plate!
-
Would you consider selling the ha3500 alone at all? If so id ber VERY interested

Ive stumbled across one of these in a local junk shop. Seems to be in good working order etc but my question is this (im sh*t at backline stuff!). My current rig is a MAG300 head into a MAG410 and MAG115. Im assuming i wont have a problem just swapping the MAG300 for the Hartke, mainly im thinking Ohm wise (i dont get ohms at all!). Cheers bass peeps

Id be interested. What price and also do you still have the cream guard?

Im currently running my Burns Bison bass thru a MAG 300 into MAG 410 and MAG 115, i also use an ashdown compressor pedal. Whilst im fairly happy with the sound i do fancy tweaking a little bit. Plus the fact that since i added the 115 into the rig i do get a slight smell of 'metalic' burning coming from the head after an hours playin! Ive looked around and as im on a fairly tight budget ive narrowed down to either a 2nd hand TE AH-300, Laney RB9 or Hartke3500. The laney does seem to have swayed me tho. Does anyone on here have 1st hand experience of both the MAG and the RB9 and could offer their thoughts/advises on my predicament?

Been GASing after one of these for a while due to their resembalance of the Ricky 4005 (my 'most wanted' bass). Anyone have one on here that can give me their views on them at all?

Any chance of a pic of the 1x15?
-
Just found a blank square piece of tort material on ebay, 3 ply but ill just have to check it big enough for me to make my own using the old one as a template. Size is 295mm x 250mm x 2.4mm so should be ok i think

Cheers for the links. Its a cheapo ive picked up off ebay that im lookin to do a mini project on. Its sunburst so for me HAS to have a tort plate. Then i plan to ''relic'' it by sanding down parts and finally adding a bridge cover. Dont want to spend too much as its only back up to my Bison bass. Might see if anywhere will cover the old pickguard in a tort vinyl or somethin
-
Evenin all. Anyone know where i can pick up a tort scratch plate that will fit a squire bass? I believe standard fender ones wont fit and i cant find the colour im after on ebay (found one but its just listed as ''p bass style scratch plate'' so not sure it will fit).

No worries. Like i say i dont want to mis-sell the cab. Its a beast to lug round for just a 1x15 output (thats all my Ashdown head will power)!
-
Weighs about 90kg so if you want to arrange something then thats fine by me but due to size i recommend collection. If you want to pre-pay and sort out a courier to collect then thats fine but you would have to arrange (and of course that would mean you wouldnt be able to test your bass head thru it before hand). I know i keep goin on but i really dont want to mis-sell this cab like i was, but on the info i have ONLY the Ah1000 head will power the full cab. PM me if your still interested pal

Last bump before fleabay
-
Bump. As menrtioned ive been told u need an AH1000 to pwer this but your welcome to bring any head and try it thru the cab
-
Pictures finally uploaded. Sorry been offline for a while. Still looking for £150-£200 for this. Pick up in bolton only. Any questions please ask. Cheets -
Sorry for the delay in replying peeps. USB cable for my phone is on its way so pics will be up very shortly. Im not so good on back line techincals but i have been told only the AH1000 will power the whole cab. If you know differently then fair enough, you are welconme to try your head thru the cab (based in Bolton). As i mentioned the carpet at the bottom of the cab is a little tatty and the front grill has a couple of small scratched but nothing to major. Pis will follow very shortly.

Just sold my Epi LP std bass and matching epi case to fund a Burns Bison. They are VERY loud and sometimes can be a bit ''Boomy''. Very nice bass tho, had mine for 7 years without a prob. The standards are quite rare now and in my opinion look way better than the specials. If your near bolton mine is still in the local guitar shop tho i dont know what they are asking for it
