30” or 32” for me. Anything bigger feels… bigger 😆

Purely cosmetic - Ashdown have a habit of tweaking things visually all the time.

Bargainous!

Well despite Fair Deal Music in Birmingham having pretty much the exact spec Sandberg Lionel I would want I am still in. I plan on remaining “in” too…. We’ll see 😅

I have to say @tobiewharton I’m very glad that’s going your way. @eude sent me a pic earlier and I thought “oh good god I’m in trouble”
🤣🤣
Thankfully not 😃

Furyon’s debut album Gravitas.
Far superior to their second and last album. Produced by Rick Beato. Huuuge sounding.
Before that I was on the new Florence Black album, Bed Of Nails, which is mighty.
Not sure if the neighbours agree, but.. 🤷🏼♂️

If I hadn’t bought a Super Twin just before Christmas I’d be all over this, such a bargain!

Currently clean but having a massive wobble, over either a Sandberg Lionel or commissioning another ACG.
Aiming to stay the course, don’t hold yer breath though 😂

These are great fun. Still haven’t worked out how to emulate it with my HX Effects (possibly becuase I’m a luddite, or possibly because you can’t easily!)

It is very tempting for no reason other than “I want one” 🤣

Another lover of Newtones! Think I might need to order some more soon actually…
I like the picks they’ve started doing too, though annoyingly dropped my favourite one down the bit between my car seat and the centre console and can’t find it 😭

I put an Aguilar 60s wind in mine and it's just the job. Bit spendy though for a simple pickup.
I have that in my Zoot P5, it’s a lovely pickup… oh dear god what am I doing! 😅

They can be bought as purely passive instruments.
Saves enough to rip out the pickup and replace it with a proper vintage thing!
Yep - I have actually found an almost identical one but passive… trouble brewing 😂

Finally got my mitts on a Sandberg Lionel today. This one to be precise.
I have to say it was lovely. The neck was smooth and fast, felt like a cross between a P and a J to me. Wasn’t a fan of the active circuit but in passive mode I really enjoyed the tone. I have always been convinced I’d get a maple neck/maple board if I ever had the funds to buy one but the pau ferro board was gorgeous and I expect helped with the warm smooth tone. Certainly gave me some food for thought if I ever get to the point of being able to afford one…

Awesome fun. Katy Hurt and band opened the new south coast “Buck’n’Bull” pop up country and western themed night at Canvas in Bournemouth. Packed crowd all well up for it, and out of the ~350 strong crowd a fair percentage knew all the words to all Katy’s songs which was ace. It was fecking loud but that aside we had a blast 🤠

Once you try a Sandberg you're in trouble.
Thankfully my bank balance will not allow a purchase unless I sell things. Not sure I have anything I want to sell at the moment, unless anyone needs a kidney?

Think that Jake is on here for less
That being said I can’t find it now… where’s it gone???

That's funny 😂
I almost survived last year. I see no reason why this year can’t be that one step better 🤓
(Best not to mention I’m in Bournemouth this weekend so will be heading to Absolute Music to try out the Sandberg Lionel they have on sale…..)

If it is something a bit tasty you are after Maruszczyk do a few 32" scale models. There is a Jake (Precision) on eBay at the moment
I had a Westone Concord for a while. Perceived as a budget model but actually a damned fine bass. Superb pickup, really powerful. One on eBay at the moment (nothing to do with me)
Double cutaway body shape 32" scales would include Aria Pro II CSB series, Hondo HB1015, which often have DiMarzio pickups and always have fabulous necks (heavy, though)
Think that Jake is on here for less

I have used one, with a Trace Elliot Elf, in a loud rock covers band and no PA support. It did a sterling job!
