  1. Bought some monitors off Dan and everything was textbook. Highly recommend, a true gent. Cheers!
  2. Lovely clean compressor, just don't use it enough to justify keeping it. These are £200 new, here's a link to a great review: http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/warden.shtml It's in great condition, no velco, comes with box, wee bag and instructions. Any questions welcome, postage not a problem.
  3. Various strings for sale: Ernie Ball cobalt flats 50-105, used for a few months, not my cup of tea, silks slightly furry but lots of life left, £15 SOLD D'Addario EXL160M 50-105 medium scale, on for a week, off again (not a fan of rounds but worth a try!) - £10 TI jazz rounds JR344 (4 string set) x2, the only rounds I've enjoyed playing I think, just can't get on with the low tension no matter how hard I try! - 1 set used for 6 months, these do last forever but might be to dead for some - maybe if you're curious to try the low tension out but don't want to splash out on a new set? - £10? - 1 set brand new (the G string was put on, then I changed my mind and took it off again *put on treble side of headstock*) - £35 (these are £50 new) TI jazz flats JF344, again I want to like them but I just can't get on with the low tension no matter how hard I try! SOLD - 1 set used for mabybe 2 months max, silks still absolutely fine, £30 - 1 set new and unused, £40 Any questions welcome, postage not a problem.
  4. These are great strings, used by many pros of all genres, just not for me. 1 set brand new and unopened -£195 (£215 from Thomas so save £20) SOLD Second set have been on my main bass for 2 months, done a few gigs and recordings, so played in nicely but still a year or three left in them hopefully you can see by the picture that the silks are in great nick still. - £150 Any questions welcome, postage not a problem.
  5. Bought this out of curiosity, and while it's really good (used by a bunch of pros) I'm just not using it enough to justify keeping it. In good condition, any questions welcome, postage not a problem.
  6. These are great, just not using it enough to justify keeping it. In good condition, has velcro on the bottom, comes in it's tin+instructions (and it's rubber feet). Any questions welcome, postage not a problem.
  7. Hi there I’ve got a white short scale stingray for sale - bought during lockdown (remember that?!) as a foray into a decent short scale, loved it so bought a Wilcock This is a brilliant bass, highly recommend, I just can't really be myself with the Stingray tone, even with flats. On the plus side it’s got Dunlop strap locks on it, and hipshot ultra light tuners - no more neck dive! It's currently got a set of GHS brite flats on, and it weighs 3.5kgs. On the down side it’s got 2 small dings where it fell - a wall hanger came out of the wall(!), one is on the upper side of the body and the other is by the volume knob, no effect on playability only cosmetic, you can see it in the photos. I can post at buyers expense, either with a decent, as-new condition gig bag or a hiscox hard case for £50 extra. I've attempted to price it with the dings and the upgraded hardware in mind, any questions please get in touch, Cheers, all the best, Cameron
  8. Selling this Sandberg Ken Taylor 5 in natural finish. A lovely workhorse of a bass with very flexible sound palette. Condition is good - just a few scuffs here and there from general use. 1 small ding near the jack socket and a blemish near the top of the front pickup (from thumb placement). The preamp developed a fault, and as I needed it for shows I just had it wired up passively (and really liked the sound so never bothered to get a new preamp/repair). So the current controls are vol, blend, tone with a switch for coil split. The holes from previous controls have been tastefully plugged, so putting in another preamp would be a very easy job. The original pre will be included. Specs/features are as follows: Zero fret 34inch scale 24 fret Weight 4.2kg Pickups - Sandberg power humbucker (with coil split) Fingerboard Radius - 14inch Width at zero fret - 45mm String spacing at bridge adjustable 19.5-18mm Currently wearing TI rounds, and I'll throw in 2 sets of D'Addario nickels (1 slightly used, 1 brand new). Shipping possible at cost, comes in a decent gig bag (almost new condition). Any questions welcome, thanks for looking, C
  9. Selling this super light, super loud, super compact & handy little cab. Perfect extension cab to add extra oomph, or very capable on its own too. Condition is good, it has been gigged but well looked after, just a few small scuffs in the tolex at the bottom of the grill (see pics). Specs: Impedance 8ohm 400 Watts rms Weight 20lbs Dimensions 17”W x 15”H x 15”D One 12” Custom B&C Neodymium Woofer 150 Watts Titanium Bullet Tweeter Dual Speakon In/Out frequency response 40 Hz - 20 kHz Pickup from Glasgow preferable but happy to courier at buyers expense. Any questions hit me up. C
  10. Bought some IEMs off Rick with excellent comms and everything was very efficient and easy. We had a few small issues to resolve but Rick was super organised and understanding and it was all resolved without any bother at all. Cheers, C
  11. Thanks for the generous feedback york5stringer, very much appreciated! I think you're right in that it may have to start life as more of a bass bash type event, but really encouraging that such big names have been into the idea in the past watch this space I suppose! In the meantime please keep the feedback coming folks, I'm very open to everyone's thoughts and ideas! C
  12. Hi everybody, I was wondering if I could ask for some feedback from the bass community? I’m thinking of organising a bass specific event similar to other instrument festivals around the world, and I’m reaching out to you all to see how much interest there may be, and if so what you would like to have at such an event. I'm aware that similar events do already exist, but this would be in Glasgow (where I'm based) and very accessible, friendly and low key Features could include the following; 1: Masterclasses - presentations given on a variety of subjects (technique, studio experience, theory, industry stories, etc) 2: Workshops - more participatory sessions focussing on various aspects of musicianship, attendees are encouraged to bring an instrument and play 3: Luthiers - a chance to meet instrument makers and try their instruments 4: Amp/pedal makers - a chance to meet equipment makers and try their products 5: Performances - concerts given by solo bassists, bass fronted ensembles, bands with prominent bass players, etc 6: Other/any more ideas? Even if you have a minute to comment with the numbers (1-6) of the things that you’d be most up for attending that would be extremely helpful. Of course more detailed feedback in this thread or via PM also welcomed. Thanks in advance bassers, looking forward to hearing all of your thoughts! Cammy
