I really like Abe's playing. I have some great live (ahem......... Christian gospel) records by singer Ron Kenoly with Laboriel playing fantastic bass lines.

My fave band for many years has been the mighty Dream Theater, Bassist John Myung is always too low in the mix though! Had a REAL big thing for Marillion (Fish era only) - Bass Pete Trewavas.

I love the guitar (got one!) but that is such a hideous bass shape. Couldn't own one, I'd have to flog it if I won one. -
I'm another big fan of Good Times. Another one that jumped out and clubbed me over the head first time I heard it was RHCP's Higher ground.

I bought my jack bass when my first son was born and it still has the same strings on. He's off to High school at the end of the summer. Needless to say, I don't play bass all that much!
