One of the benefits of these cabs ( I have the Monaco ) is the dispersion of sound and how well you can hear the cab even though it’s a smaller cab Very impressive cabs

Any owners of the Ray34 advise which strings they are using ? The spec says EB Slinky 45-100 ? Would 45-105 or 50-105 be a good choice perhaps ? Unlike my older Ray34 with stock strings the G isn’t noticeably weak ! Only looking at Nickel Plated Rounds

The main bass EQ on the Puma and Eich is 30hz which works very well
-
EBS spec as below It’s a loud amp even into 8 ohms Character boosts lows, slight cut to mids and slight boost to treble
-
I’m only selling mine as I have the Eich T900 and Ashdown RM800 EVO III Very versatile amp and can run down to 2ohms
-
Nor does the EICH What about my EBS REIDMAR 752 which has the “ character” button that boosts low end ? Its for sale on here 😉 Or an Ashdown RM800 that has the “ Shape feature” bass boost plus mid cut

My new bass arrived yesterday just in time for band rehearsal and I’m very impressed with tone and comfortable playing feel Went for the Ray34 to get more of a PBass neck and although the build quality is nice it’s not as nice as my Vintera II or American Performer I wasn’t prepared to pay EBMM prices so this will do nicely The 3 band EQ is perfect and running my EICH T900 flat I got some great tones for the rock band Wouldn’t normally buy a green bass but this Teal is very dark nearly black so I think it’s a nice colour

EICH T900 👍
-
For the money I would head for the RM800 EVO II if Ashdown have any left or RM500 as they are great amps The ABM750 is nice but I didn’t find it any better than the ABM 600

I can also say the Ampeg V4B amp is a fantastic and loud amp and works great with rock stuff Using the SVT212AV cab or two SVT112AV cabs make it a great rock band rig

Well .. I’ve popped the 45-100 on and naturally fresh strings always seem zingy but I will see what’s it’s like played loud with the band soon -
Great songs but definitely not my kind of setlist as I prefer more rock, punk, pop. I’ve done several of those songs and they are plodders in my opinion and you could do with a few more recent stuff I think. We all like different things but your best on that list are Simple Minds Duran Duran Creep Again that’s my opinion and you will get others who will love that set which is the wonderful world of musical choice
-
We will probably end up playing Summer 69 but we do Run to You and Can’t stop this thing we started for now I think band members or BL who say no to these songs should go out and see a good covers band on a Saturday night and see what actually works and what doesn’t Slow songs are mostly a no no but perhaps one in the set can add something. We do a Bon Jovi either Dead or Alive or Bed of Roses
-
This is a tough one as a fellow covers band player Do you offer Sex on Fire, Dakota or Summer of 69 and do the same as 75% pub bands do or be creative and choose well known songs and rock them up We now do Tainted Love as a rock song ( Scorpions Version ) and it sounds awesome!! If years back someone suggested that song I would have laughed and said never !! Well known but different songs is the aim for our band
-
Yep I did this with four stick on rubber feet to raise my amp. I found them on EBay and they were perfect
-
This is the amp I nearly got when moving from my CTM100 and settling on the V4B I think for rock they are a superb amp with just the right sound but now for me they are too big and too heavy
