  1. Yeah they know what they’re doing the scumbags. im going around now to websites I use and letting Apple choose strong passwords
  2. Yeah I do similar and change a part of the password but thinking I should let my iPhone choose a stronger password
  3. Yeah that’s the thing, I thought it was a genuine Basschat member and would’ve sent money hadn’t he sent a message saying about friends and family and it might convert to USD as it’s a business account he uses.
  4. Yeah I was going to figure out how to flag the adverts but looks like you removed them just on time. well done guys,I’ll be more careful
  5. How do people normally pay on here then? I’ve sold stuff and they’ve paid friends and family
  6. Yeah was too good to be true. well done admins and Chaypup for quickly messaging and saving me £300. I owe you a beer my friend.
  7. I’m going to report it to PayPal and say this was the address the scammer used. what scum
  8. Oh really Daveybass? I thought I’d get in fast and buy it but instinct took over and I started searching for posts on here where most were years back and then the way all the ads were removed. I sent a message saying “how come the advert isn’t on here” and he said I’d bought it and he was waiting for the money.
  9. The PayPal address [email protected] I thought it looked odd and possibly African or something, but said he was a supporting member when I searched , but he has contacted me just in time. What a legend,if it wasn’t for his fast acting I would be out £300 and message asked for £300 and then £150 when it got here. which again seemed odd Dont pay into that account if they hack someone else. I’m now changing my password
  10. Just to warn others. I saw an HX stomp on here for sale for £200 and when looking it showed me other ads that included a road worn jazz bass for £450! I was on it fast and borrowed £300 off my Dad to secure it and planning to sell my 51 bass to fund it but the replies seemed fishy and odd about me sending it in USD. I was about to send thinking no way I could get scammed on here when the account holder messaged me saying don’t pay he’s been hacked literally as I was loading up PayPal to pay. Just a warning. Don’t buy the road worn bass,Arkham preamp,HX stomp or Mesa boogie subway that’s on here (although maybe they are gone now) phew!
  11. I’ll have to look into the Beta V if you think it sounds better. Maybe have a preset on that and go into the Ampeg assuming when the SGT-DI isn’t on it still sends cabsim out the DI and then switch Beta-V off and SGT on for.l a different tone
  12. Oh really? I did have the old Beta pedal and it definitely had a baked in heavy bass character. I sold it because I used it for a few songs and when switching on/off it would make a noise which wasn’t going to work for me live so I sold it.
  13. I put it in the effects return of my GK Legacy bypassing that preamp and using just it’s power section.
  14. Yeah I’d be all over that
  15. No I don’t like the Ampeg built in compressor at all. Seems to either do nothing or pop and just sound bad,I use a Orgin Cali76 which is the best I’ve tried.
  16. Ok,so I’ve had the new Ampeg SGT-DI for about 2 weeks now having recently have both the Bassrigs. just wanted to give my opinions on them as they might help others decide which to buy and I would’ve appreciated someone’s views. Firstly they are all amazing so you can’t really go wrong with either. I would say for rock the Super Vintage was great and the added option to add or reduce bass-treble to amp out only came in handy. But I didn’t really like the built in cab sun that you can’t turn off out the DI. The 64’ overall I think sounded better, rounder, fatter and I liked the 2x15 cab sim a lot more. Out of the two I prefered it for “my” sound. But I though too much hiss at higher volumes and at a gig didn’t want to deal with hiss particularly although I’m sure I could’ve dialled it in if I kept it though. a 2nd hand SGT-DI came up so decided to try it and flip it if it wasn’t for me. This thing rocks in both SVT mode and especially B15 mode. I played a gig 2 nights ago with SVT engaged and the SGT on about 10 0’clock with a medium output p bass and at first I wasn’t keen as I kept the same settings I used at home with Ultra bass on and treble down. I decided 2 songs in to turn the ultra bass to normal and try the ultra treble on and there was a punchy, bassy, fat tone I wanted. The 2x12 user Cabsim sounded best to me for svt and the 1x15 for B15. The option of sweepable mids is a great decision Got a rehearsal with a wedding band soon so I’ll see how the B15 mode sounds with that. I usually use a GK Legacy 800 btw which I’m sure could get me great tones but I like trying gear. so out of the 3 I’d get Ampeg SGT-DI as it has no hiss, and option to have SGT on or off. The Bassrigs do feel vastly superior and built like tanks and the Ampeg seems very light and plasticy in comparison so I’ll see how it holds up gigging but I’m sure it’ll be fine. Also the SGT-DI is great for practice with it headphone out and aux in.
  17. Cheers. Nice doing business with you, hope you enjoy the Bassrig
  18. I’ll take £310 inc postage. £80 saving. It’s in mint condition.
  19. Very reluctant sale. Only bought this a few weeks ago but unfortunately I need to come up with £1000 for a car repair and this and the other Origin Effects preamp have to be sold as they’re the only gear I have that I can do a gig without. This is for the 64 Preamp which is the Fender Bassman and Showman Preamp with DI out of a 2x15 cab sim. will post insured, tracked delivery to UK mainland.
  20. Very reluctant sale. Only bought this a few weeks ago but unfortunately I need to come up with £1000 for a car repair and this and the other Origin Effects preamp have to be sold as they’re the only gear I have that I can do a gig without. This is for the Super Vintage which is basically a preamp of an Ampeg SVT with a DI out with a 8x10 speaker sim. All analog, all awesome. Has Velcro attached but the 4 rubber feet will be in the box. I’ll post insured delivery to UK mainland.
