1. uke and myself arranged to do a deal, however we both independently reached the conclusion that we couldn't part with our basses! I got a great deal on a new dano longhorn and now that my dano has settled in nicely I've realised I don't need 4 basses so this is up for sale again!
2.
It's a great shame you didn't suck-seed. I thangyow.
Bravo, Sir!
3. For me it's Kanye West's 'Yeezus'. Not everyone's cup of tea I know but I think it's superb! Runners up are Daft Punk, QOTSA (wish they were touring academies again rather than arenas) and Black Sabbath.
4. what a thread! I love a great bad name - I don't think 'Concentration Champ' have been put forward yet. I'm proud to say my first band were called 'Hell's Bastards From Hell'

7. I saw them in Newcastle too standing - A great gig and one I'll never forget. My first Neil gig and it delivered! It was great to hear some stuff from the new album live alongside oldies, but I thought the Bob cover was an odd and (the only) low point. Loved the feedback section. Good value for money due to the long and varied set and Neil's voice and especially his guitar sounded phenomenal - great chemistry with Crazy Horse too. I think I've discovered a new favourite in 'Surfer Joe & Moe The Sleaze' which I had never heard before - I've since got into re-ac-tor and have been delving deeping still into their back catalogue. My parents attended too (seated) and didn't enjoy it too much - I think they, and a lot of people expected Heart of Gold, etc. Should have done their homework! Great story indeed about WoT's mate! Off topic - I remember seeing Jack White wandering around Newcastle city centre a few years back (on the day of a Raconteurs gig) but didn't have to guts to approach him! Regrets...

13. Post bank holiday bump! I'm after a Danelectro so may be persuaded to p/x or trade if the bass is right for me...
14. Have a bump on me, Sir. Always fancied one of these but too short on £ at the moment so trying to sell off some stuff myself!
15. I'm really enjoying it and will be buying the vinyl. Some killer bass playing. Gotta say it sounds great to hear such a 'fun' album from a huge name and I'm all for radical changes in direction and sound from artists. Wish they'd tour (I'm still kicking myself from missing them at Wireless 2007 as I thought Muse at Wembley would be ample entertainment for a weekend.).
16. [sub]Bump! Is no-one interested in something a little different?! It's a great bass for 60s rock, blues, reggae, etc. and it can get a great early Macca sound if you put flats on it. Easily the lightest bass I've played and very comfortable to play.[/sub]
17. EDIT- Price drop to £300! My lovely Eastwood Classic 4 with fitted hardcase is up for sale. It's in good condition and hasn't seen a great deal of use - other than normal playing wear the only thing to note is the nut has a chip in it (doesn't affect how it plays or sounds as is just from the corner). This can be easily and cheaply replaced if desired. It's a lovely short scale bass with striking looks and always attracts attention when I play it live. The bass is pictured with DR Bootzillas - this is what it will come with. You can see Ed 'The Bass Whisperer' Friedland review the bass here - To buy new direct from Eastwood the bass costs £439 and the case £79 - not sure how much they charge for P&P. if you're in Newcastle you're welcome to try it out. Ideally buyer will collect but I am open to the idea of a courier service. I'm open to offers but not interested in trades or part-exchange. Happy to answer any questions.

19. Up for sale is my much loved 2002 made in Mexico Fender Jazz bass in 3 colour Sunburst. I bought it in 2006 used but in great condition from a guy who owned it from new. It comes with all the tags, allen key, a tan suade levy's strap and a basic hardcase. It has an aftermarket tortoiseshell effect pickguard fitted and also comes with the original white pickguard. The tortoiseshell pickguard was fitted by the previous owner and looks great, however it had to be cut a little to fit around the pickup. It plays wonderfully and is very versatile. The bass was my main gigging bass for about four years and therefore has many little dings and scratches which give it a great worn in look in my opinion (who wants a bass which looks like it has spent its life unplayed in a glass case?!). The nut has a small chip out of it which is superficial, however I will include a new graphtech nut which I have not got around to fitting myself. It is currently strung up with regular rotosound swing bass strings which have some life left in them. Unfortunately I don't use it in any of the bands at the minute and haven't for some time now so it needs to go to fund other stuff. I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne and collection would be preferred but I'm happy to deliver in the North East for petrol cost, or arrange for courier if posting further afield. The 2011 model which is slightly updated goes for well over £500 new. http://www.thomann.d...rw_bsb_2011.htm How does £350 sound? Make me an offer! I'm not interested in trades or p/x. Cheers, Andy Hopefully these pictures will work! ps the bass is fitted with flats in the pics as they were taken years ago but it now has rounds. 20. I need the money and no longer need this bass so any offers will be considered! Spec: Top : Spruce Back & sides : Ashwood Machine heads : Chrome diecast Position marks : Dot Controls : Timber PLUS PreAmp & Shadow pick-up Finish : Satin This bass retails for about £250 new & comes with a padded gigbag worth £15 so get yourself a good deal! Ideally pick up from Newcastle-upon-Tyne/ Stockton-on-Tees, but I would be willing to post. If in Newcastle you're welcome to try it out! Unfortunately one of the tuners is damaged (it has very little grip and the string will de-tune itself in a few minutes - no idea why as it just starting happening one day randomly) and will need replacing. This should not cost very much to replace. I have fitted a thumb rest (which can be removed with a little bit of work if needed) so you can rest your thumb like on an electric bass' pickups. Currently strung up with Fender nickel flats and I still have the original rounds which will be thrown in. It would benefit from a minor set up and a bit of love! Thanks for looking, Andy.
