    Amazing hand-made unit that was never available as a retail item. SWR made these units during the "black and green face" golden age, long before Fender took over, for their endorsees. This is the actual unit. It's an amazing piece of kit - can go from subtle eq to really full on changes - but as I'm going to move away from rack setups I don't need it any more. Fantastic condition with very litte rack rash. Also has a UK plug fitted and will ship in original box. I'm looking for what it cost me, [b]£200 plus postage[/b]. Cheers Gareth

One thing to note is that the Alien is Korean made and the woods used are laminates as opposed to solid pieces, so compared to some acoustic basses it could be argued that it's overpriced. A Tacoma Thunderchief 5 string gives you solid woods (and an extra string) for about the same money. I must say I'm loving my new Brook acoustic bass. I used it for the first time at a gig on Saturday and the sound was huge; beautiful big phat bass. After we'd finished our set we retreated to the green room and sat there playing our acoustics and singing 'til 2am. Great fun having an acoustic bass in the arsenal... cheers Gareth
