Someone had turned the trim pot right down in the amp I've just got.  Like @owen, it was a scary moment when I first fired it up and it was really quiet!  Now I've re-set it all is very good!!

My trim pot is pretty much cranked as I play with a light touch. I no longer have the Pawn Shop Mustang with the depleted uranium humbucker...

Demeters can be very good, which model is it? I prefer the Pope just for the controls at gigs, easier to compensate for problematic stage acoustics and such. But Demeter is really good stuff.
