Dunno if it helps anyone but I used to use one of those car seatbelt cushions attached with velcro to my guitar strap. I got to keep my rock solid Levy's strap and it made it more comfortable for use over long periods. Might be worth a try if you're a bit dubious about 'comfort' straps.

+1 for the Boss, nice and simple pedal that works well and can be had for cheap. Same for the Planet Waves tuner but the pedal case is a bit odd. I'd probably go for a PitchBlack if I ever had to replace it, always had good experience with Korgs.
I've grown to like headphones (I use Sennheiser HD 415 mk1s or suffer Sennheiser CX300 II earbuds when I have to!),
Just bought a pair of the Sennheisers for my MP3 player use so good to know that they give out good bass.
I knew some basics of speaker response but not about headphones, your post was very informative and helpful. Thanks. -
Got the 201s for under £14, absolutely brilliant, cheers!
Nice one, let us know how they are on bass. Just got back from recording today and they had them so they must be pretty decent. Didn't use them as I DI'd with my Sansamp (which the engineer loved) and stayed in the control room. -
Who is that rather luscious lady with the tasty rack setup?
See my previous post. Christina Hendricks of Mad Men (or Firefly if you're cool) fame. -
Most threads related to daisy-chaining these pedals resulting in a high-pitched whine, but not always.
That seems to be the usual problem according with EHX stuff to the Diago powerstation compatability chart but it doesn't have the bass blogger on there. The only thing I can find was saying they needed an isolated supply which you probably saw too. -
-
Where's the guy with the Christina Hendricks avatar pic when you need nice racks discussing?
thats very nice
+1
I'd have matched the headstock to the body colour but that's just personal preference. -
Could be a unique and interesting bass if you can iron its flaws out. Best of luck, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

umph builds pedals, not sure if he built the one he refers to but might be worth asking.
Feedback loopers sacre me personally, not a fan of the crazy noise. -
It's worth pointing out that you'd need a pickup, convertor and module for what you want to do. I use a GK3b into a AX101 into a MicroKorg (although I've used a variety of hard and softsynths in the past.
I had a look at your blog but I'm pretty dumb about this kind of thing. Would that setup work plugging into any midi capable synth? -
In terms of sound, can someone explain what frequency responses are about?
Not really, I assume it's the same as speakers whereby the less db loss you get on low frequencies the better.
Sounds like you need a pair of closed back 'phones. Have a look at Sennheiser HD201 or 202. Both are in your budget and look pretty good. -
Seems like there's some good info here.

I'd give the OC2 as clean a signal as possible by putting it first. BSW (Bass synth wah?) would normally go after distortion but I'd imagine there's some cool sounds to be had by putting it after as you have done.
Is it worth making a sticky thread on pedal order? Admin? -
These are really nice pedals, probably the best I've heard in terms of sounding like a cranked valve amp. Great if you can afford the pedal board space!
-
Hmm, I get the feeling it's going to be cheaper to get a 2nd hand Tonehammer and a decent power amp.
-
Any word on price?
-
Muse would be an obvious choice, not sure if 'Time Is Running Out' is a synth or over the top fuzz but it's a good line with an unusual sound.
-
Nice, I always wanted a GS to try and make my rig as locally built as possible (I play through a Matamp) bit I can't let go of my Japanese Ibanez LP. Just got to keep my eye on E-bay.
-
Check e-bay, I got an MIJ black knob/green label one on there for about £50.
Great pedals, have a bump on me. -
That's a great looking bass! Is that a Gordon Smith in the b/g too?
I'll get some pics of my Streamer LX up at some point. -
Have you tried replacing the output fuse? You might just have tripped it, esp. as the tubes are all still coming on but presumably no sound is coming out.

My audio interface has never had a driver update so playback in Reaper was just a constant, horrible tone. And no, it wasn't my playing. I installed a free program called ASIO4all and that fixed all my problems. Might be worth a try.
+1 for Reaper too, does everything Cubase does and is actually reasonably priced with loads of free updates.
