1. One 8 ohm 12" Celestion Gold for sale, in great condition, looks like new apart from solder on the tags - not even broken in yet. They're just shy of 200 quid new most places you I don't see them often second hand. I'm asking 150 quid shipped.
2. Does exactly what it says on the tin - really great little boost or buffer pedal! Great for driving long pedal chains or adding some grit to your tone. Cost about 90GBP new, this is the V1 which is no longer sold in the shops. I'll take 40GBP shipped. I ship all pedals in the UK via Royal Mail Special Delivery, having experienced the massive annoyance of stuff going missing even when using Recorded mail. Special Delivery is a next day, tracked, fully insured service so it will arrive super-fast and if it doesn't we'll be fully covered.
3. Here is a rare old Boss equaliser from the days when they were still made in Japan. It's not had a great deal of use outside the studio since I acquired it as I've not gigged as a bassist in about 8 years! Works like new, solid as a rock... no dirt in the sliders, black rear label there, all present and correct. 45 quid shipped in the UK via a tracked service. Please e-mail/PM me if interested!
4. We all know about this cab and what it sounds like, so I'm not going to wax lyrical on the specifics! It's one of the best 4x12 cabs on the market, with a big, thick and punchy sound. I'm only selling it as I'm not playing as much music these days and am using a combo. It's in very good condition, only a few little nicks in the tolex as you can see in the photos. It comes with a fitted flightcase which cost me around 200 quid and is almost new bar a few scratches as it's never been out on the road! It also has a Silverstone soft cover which cost about 45 quid. Photos are of the actual cab for sale, not stock shots. I acquired the cab about 2 years ago and it's been sitting around in its case pretty much unused, save for a few sessions in my studio. I live in the South West of England but can probably work out a meet/delivery further afield sometime - I even go over to Europe occasionally if anyone over there is interested. Get in touch and we'll discuss it! If anyone has any ideas for posting such a bulky item, I'm open to suggestions! Given the new cost of the flightcase, cover and cab combined is well over 800 quid, I think 450 pounds would be a fair price. If interested, please e-mail me at [[email protected]][email protected] - cheers!
5. SOLD A lovely 2x12 combo here from Traynor, the 'Canadian Fender'! Still built like tanks in Canada. The amp has two channels, one voiced in homage to a driven British-voiced amp and the other a clean American-voiced amp. It'd be wrong to compare them directly to a driven Marshall and a Blackface Fender, becauser the Traynor has a voicing all of its own, but it certainly gets you into those territories! Lots of positive reviews here: http://www.harmonycentral.com/products/86265 Here is a fascinating video showing the amazing construction techniques used by Traynor, including a unique bath soldering technique that makes a mockery of the dodgy soldering seen in some Asian-made amps - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB2oXPlVyyI...feature=related It's in good condition, only a few little nicks in the tolex as you can see in the photos. I've recently upgraded the speakers to a pair of Eminence GB128, which are fantastic Greenback-style speakers but with a 50w power handling. Check out the reviews all over the net! These were a huge leap in quality from the stock Celestion 70/80s. It comes with a Silverstone soft cover which cost about 30 quid. Photos are of the actual amp for sale, not stock shots. I acquired the amp about a year ago and have hardly played it since then as I've not been playing as much music and whilst this is a fantastic amp, I'm too used to the sound of my Orange AD30! I live in the South West of England but can probably work out a meet/delivery further afield sometime - I even go over to Europe occasionally if anyone over there is interested. I'm happy to couriner it in the UK at cost. These amps are no longer sold in the UK, but the last few I've seen in stock in some shops sell for around the 700 quid mark. There is a new 4x10 version of this amp on Ebay for 899 quid currently (SEE HERE). The Eminence speakers aren't even broken in and cost me about 90 quid for the pair. I've also recently revalved the amp with JJ tubes. Bearing all that in mind, I think 350 pounds would be a bargain price. I may entertain offers! If you're interested, please e-mail me at [[email protected]][email protected] - cheers!
6. First off I'd like to say I've bought a total of 5 covers off Silverstone for various amps and I'm generally pleased with their product. However, their customer service is shocking and I've finally had it with them. The penultimate time I ordered from them a few months back, the cover I ordered took over 3 weeks to arrive - and that was only after I e-mailed to ask what had happened and threatened to start a Paypal claim. I had no contact from them before that to let me know about this delay. Shaun (the guy who runs Silverstone) wrote to me and said they were in the middle of moving premises and would prioritise my order. I got it a few days later. I ordered a cover for my Traynor over a month ago, as Silverstone was the only place I could find making covers for this amp in the UK. This time I wrote to Shaun and explained I had two busy weekends of gigging ahead, so please could he try to get the cover out to me in at least a week? He told me they were in the middle of moving premise but that he'd prioritise my order and try to get it out for me within the week - sound familiar? This was the 6th September. ...fast forward to 20th October, and there is still no sign of the cover and Shaun isn't responding to my e-mails. I've filed a Paypal claim and he has not written to me personally but has entered 'tracking details' for my parcel, a DHL tracking number which does not exist on DHL's system. I hope Paypal have the good sense to notice this is an illegitimate tracking number and refund me that 40 quid I paid for the cover, which I am 99% sure has never been made and I will never receive. I checked out Google for other people's experiences with Silverstone and discovered I'm not the only one who has been messed around by Shaun. I think next time I'll be trying Roqsolid or Hot Covers. I'd recommend not going anywhere near this company, despite their product being well-made - it's too much of a lottery dealing with such an unreliable guy.

8.
I'm in Manchester and going down to Devon on the 29th till the 31st I wouldn't mind helping you out if you wanted it. Cheers
That's a very kind offer indeed! I'll have a serious think about it and get back to you!
9.
Only just acquired this, but a pretty cruddy change in circumstances means it's time to sell up. Vertical 2x12 Matamp cab, orange tolex, 800 watts at 4 ohms. This thing is insanely loud. I mean insanely. It's also pretty heavy, so while I am prepared to courier it, I'd recommend pickup. £280 is what I paid about a month or so ago, I'd like the same back.
Any chance of a courier quote and pics if possible please? I'm interested, but I'm down in Devon so Manchester's a bit of a stretch!
10. How much would you estimate for couriering in the UK?
11. Could you give some shots of the interior please?
12. If someone doesn't take the GEB-7 I'll gladly have it off you!
13. Forgot to add, would be interested in trades for something more portable.
14. I have a pair of UK-made Ashdown ABM cabs, ABM 410T and 115 full sized, both fitted with Eminence neo drivers (Deltalite II 2510s in the 410 and a 3015LF in the 15). I've owned these from new, they were originally paired with an EVO-II 500 which was stolen from me - have since used with an EVO-III 500 and an Orange Terror Bass, worked great with both those amps but I'm looking to downsize as I'm not playing bass in a band. These Eminence drivers are fantastic and really improved the sound of these cabs, not to mention making the weight much more bearable! Since buying the neo drivers I've only used the cabs sparingly, so they're not even broken in yet really. You can hear these actual cabs demoed here in a video I made of the Orange Terror Bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-rN4glWmTs As far as price, well, I don't know really, but I have to put something under the forum rules so I'm going to go by the current street prices of both the cabs and drivers. ABM115 = 331GBP (electromusic.co.uk), Eminence 3015LF = 133.95GBP (lean-business.co.uk), so about 450GBP new - I'll take 300GBP. ABM410T = 431GBP (electromusic.co.uk), Eminence Deltalite II 2510 x 4 = 275GBP (lean-business.co.uk), so about 700GBP new - I'll take 400GBP. Please tell me if these prices are totally unreasonable, I've no idea of the market value of used Ashdown stuff these days really, but with the improved drivers these are a cut above IMHO. I do also have the original Blueline drivers stored away if anyone would rather I put them back in - obviously I'd reduce the price quite a bit to reflect that.
15. Forgot to mention, I will consider trades too - particularly looking for a Tech 21 Blonde or other pedals in the Character series.
16. Here are two pedals that I've had sitting around for a while, guess it's time to move them on to someone who will get some use out of them! RADIAL BIGSHOT MIX - SOLD The Rolls Royce of loop pedals! Fantastic looper/blender, great for blending fuzz in with your clean signal to keep plenty of fat bottom end with your dirt. I've never gigged this as I'm no longer playing bass in a band at the moment, so this is sitting around not being used. These cost a pretty penny new (http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/radial-bigshot-mix--66531), this one is in great condition and I'll let it go for ***SOLD***. MI AUDIO BOOST'N'BUFF Really great little boost or, er, buffer pedal!
17.
Not sure how much they are worth
Sorry man, but I ought to give you a heads up that the forum rules clearly state: 5. You must state a price for your item. Anything without a price clearly stated will be subject to removal.
18. http://www.interparcel.com/quote/courier-quote1.php Interparcel are one of the few couriers who will carry really heavy stuff in the UK, their prices are reasonable too! Good luck with the sale, great cabs and fair prices.
19. Really nice cab that one, would look good under my Bass Terror... hmm... Shame he seems to have disappeared
20. I bit the bullet and ordered Ted Crocker's Stonehenge pickups, will let you all know how it goes!
21. I'm not sure I'd be confident winding my own to be honest! If I don't go the piezo route, I found these which also look interesting and are reasonably priced... http://tedcrocker.com/stonehenge.html Thanks again for everyone's advice so far!
22. I'm actually thinking more about piezo saddles as an option now actually - one added bonus is proper separation, which I won't necessarily get with magnetic pickups. Note separation is quite important for the purposes I have in mind. What would be the easiest way for me to get just my lowest two strings piezo'd?
23.
Not in the UK, but http://www.syncobass.com do single string pickups.
Ah yes, I saw those before! Those are pretty much just what I'm looking for. Anything like this in the UK, or should I just plump for these?
24. Thanks for your responses so far guys! I have considered piezo saddles, seems like a good option if they actually sound good, has anyone actually used any of the piezo saddle systems? Thoughts? I have no idea about making my own pickups, wish I did - that'd be an interesting and fun option!
