  1. For sale is that rather iconic Zoom pedal - a B1Four in great cosmetic condition and full working order at about 50% of new price.

Selling as I've gone another route (And I have a B1XFour for those Zoomy times).

P&P (UK Only) should be no more than £5.

    i have the x3 instead of x5

The X3 would probably hit all my needs (with an external OD and tuner) give me a smaller board, but I like the X5's capability to insert my OD where I want. Such a shame the X3 has no FX loop.

  3. My latest go at a pedalboard.  I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the X5 effects, but at present no OD hence the MXR (Inserted using the FX loop between the octaver and chorus, the X5 is chained R to L).  The X5 tuner does not cope with a low B hence the KORG at the front of the chain.

I have a lot more tweaking to do with the settings on each of the X5 toneprints to dial in my 'perfect' sound.

And I need to sort a wider board so the KORG is not sideways! (Slight OCD).

My calculations showed that 6mm aluminium should be significantly stronger than 15mm plywood. Rubbish.

I am surprised by this!  Not run any maths but from my gut the ally would strike me as stronger and more resistant to bending ... bad gut I guess!

  5. Hi Jon,

I've a couple of Ibanez and am happy with them (But they are sub-short scale and there is nothing else out there like them)

Not sure if you've come across Low End Lobster, he does a series of bass reviews on youtube.

In his review of the SR300 he rated it as 2/5.

  6. Andrew contacted me about my Guild, we chatted a few times (and I learned a lot!) then he paid, we met up the next day at Brighton Station for the handover.  Such a lovely chap ... top BCer.

  7. Only the tiniest of brushes for me.

For a year or so back in 1999 I lived in a flat that was next to 'The House that Jagger' owned (My partner at the time was flatsitting long term for a super well off college friend).  On a couple of occasions, we were kept up into the wee hours by the sound of partying and the smell of weed (Jagger had bought the flat below the one we were in and turned it into a music space.

About 7 years ago the ukulele band I was in (playing ubass) got the chance to perform on the main stage at the Brighton Dome (OMG it was SO much fun!), where ABBA won Eurovision ... and to top it off, we were assigned the same dressing room they had used ... jättebra!!

Yeah, I am on Mac. Installed this app but it only shows logic virtual midi. I have my midi Arduino controller connected to Mac but it's not shown there. I can see LED on Arduino reacts to footswitches.

Is it not a problem that I have 1W Capacitors resistors? Both 220ohm

The power rating (watts) of a resistor just tell you how much power they can cope with, it is fine to use a 1W (I presume the original circuit called for 1/4 or 1/2 watt?).

If it were me, I'd try running something really simple (ignoring the footswitches for now) to check that your wiring is OK ... This example seems pretty useful and basic.

Only on serial monitor in Arduino IDE and sends characters through. This is the looped code Stoo presented here few pages back.

    Not ideal.

How is your computer connected to the Stomp to send MIDI ... can you not use the computer MIDI in and run a MIDI monitor program on it?  You mention Logix Pro so I'm guessing you are Mac based ... this is the MIDI monitor I use https://hautetechnique.com/midi/midiview/
