1.
ive got a fender frontman 15b if intrested in a swap?? - headphone socket, line in etc!
That looks like the sort of thing, it's not worth a straight swap so I'd need some cash as well if you want to make an offer.
 2.
This is the price of entry to this forum.
She's usually pretty easygoing but a 4x10, a head, a combo and a bass were a bit too much in one week!
 3.
Withdrawn, on arrival it's not as big as first thought so I'll be keeping it.
On trying to work it into my practice space/routine it's a bit too big size wise. Also the wife's not too happy, apparently the house is getting like a marketplace with all this gear coming and going. Happy to swap for a Rb1 or 2 or similar small practice amp – 15w or higher, small, aux in and headphone.
 4.
I think that one belongs to a BCer......
Is it this one?
 5. I love Guilds and got very excited when I saw this fretless unfortunately but looks like a good deal for someone.
 6.
Hmmm... had my heart set on a light bag... but at that price its bloody tempting!
I have one I use to hold a multi FX, the foam is pre-sliced into 1cm cubes so you just tear it away for a form fitting fit. They are quite light (aluminium) and come with a strap though it would be painfully thin if the case was holding something heavy.

 8. I'm interested if the P&P is reasonable. Also your feedback link isn't working.
 9. Yorkville 3x10 Excellent price, communication and met me halfway to do the dealing. Top bloke. Thanks again Tom
 10. I've been looking for a small practice amp and put a cheeky low bid on a Laney RB3 without checking the specs properly, it has all the features I was looking for but it's much bigger than I expected (Width 489 x Height 483 x Depth 303). eBay listing here I paid £75 in total and will be happy to break even. I can ship but it will be at the buyer's expense, I do however get very good rates through work (usually £10 or less). I'm in Swansea, South Wales and can deliver/meet within a reasonable distance. I'm also up for a swap plus cash for a smaller practice amp (aux in and phones essential).

 18. Any idea what the cabs' ohmage and wattage is? Wondering if they could be paired up with a more powerful head.
 19. Thanks for your replies. The Clayton book looks interesting, the 8 week crash course book I've borrowed from the library is also one of his and looks to similar but quite heavilly abreviated.
Most guitar players who switch to bass play bass like a guitar player, with incorrect technique and most of all, with the wrong mind-set.They tend to not think as a support/groove instrument and more as a root/riff chugger. Don't look at it as a simpler version of the guitar, treat it as a unique instrument with it's own idiosyncracies. You will get more out of it that way. I know it's a generalisation, but I've seen it many times.
Fair comment and something I'm concious of. I'm not sure what the options are teacher wise locally but I'll look into it. However I don't think funds will stretch to lessons until the new year so in the meantime I'm stuck to working from books.
 20. Hi, I'm a long time guitarist (electric, acoustic 6 and 12 string) about to add bass as an additional feather to my bow, I'd welcome suggestions for books and other resources worth looking at. Along with a couple of absolute beginners guides I picked up this from the library, listening through the 150 odd MP3s on the accompanying CD looks like it should cover dexterity/coordination drills but doesn't seem to have a lot in the way of actual lines, grooves or how to put together your own. Bass Guitar for Dummies and http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bass-Handbook-Comp...0565&sr=1-2 seem to get pretty good reviews on amazon. I also found this at the top of a google search for 'bass guitar lessons' Any advice gratefully received, thanks
