1. Thanks for the advice everyone. Has really helped. Though now to choose a midi board! Many people seem to use the behringer one, but i'm a bit (read: hugely) concerned about behringers lack of reliability with other products, any advice?
2. I'm considering making the switch from the mass of pedals at my feet to a lovely neat rackmounted setup with a midi foot controller or something similar. Hwowever, I seem to be at a bit of a loss in finding the sort've unit i'm looking for. I'm looking for a rackmounted multi-effects processor that has all the common effects integrated, chorus, flange, delay etc. with possibly a built in compressor and noise supressor. All with a budget of around £300, used is certainly an option. I did look at the line 6 bass POD, but I fear that all the preamp models would go to waste due to my GK rig giving me all the tone I need. I've also heard things about the Lexicon Mxp G2 and the Boss VF1 but they both seem to be guitar orientated units and I can't attest to how they handle the thunderous low end of the bass. Can anyone offer me some guidance here?
3.
May be a bit late to ask but is anyone going from Nottingham? Or Nottingham locale? I'd like to come but would need a lift to do so. So if anyone is feeling generous and has space for one + one bass that'd be much appreciated! Mark
If you do make it down feel free to bring the GL!
4. what rig are you running and what's your EQ like?
5. I'm gonna have to stand up and vouch for trevor on this. I bought the GK 700rb-II head off him for £250 as mentioned. That in itself is a killer price and trev was fine to deal with, Spoke to him on the phone before I travelled down to pick it up and was easy to deal with. As trev had previously stated he had a gig that evening but his father was there who went through the deal with me an gave me a contact number on the off chance it didn't work. The heads been working fine these last few months and I got for a great price so I can't complain about anything trevor has done i'd urge people not to be put off by this thread. And Mike, I understand you had a bad experience dealing with trevor, but i'd say you're out of line by criticizing him for his activities on the boards. I've been a member for here for almost a year and all i've done really is buy and sell items, am I not 'contributing to the bass community' enough? Many people on here only buy and sell things cause of the great wealth of stuff on the forums. Bottom line: I've dealt with Trevor, everything went fine. It's not my place to comment on the Ebay thing.
6. Okay, i'm definately turning up to this! I'm nearby and there's too much sexy gear coming not to! I can bring my GK rig (bought on these forums!) but as ped said with lots of amps there it might be too noisy/pointless but if anyone really wants to hear/try a gk 700RB-II and GK NEO212 cab then by all means i'll bring it. I'll also bring along my Ibanez SR506 for some fun.

9. I have an epiphone les paul standard guitar i'm looking to sell, looking for around £180 ONO Guitar is in excellent condition only one dent in the finish on the back and minor scratches. pics on request.
10. According to GK's site dimensions are 19"W x 3.5"H x 8"D and it's a 700RB-II, i suppose it won't need much space but i'd imagine an inch or two would be ebst to be on the safe side.
11. Hey there, Just wondering, does it have enough clearance so that a GK head (with the fan mounted on the top) would be safe to use with it?
12. I have no money but could I interest you in a home cooked meal every day for the rest of your life?
