  1. The cab is now sold. I'm going to put another ad up for just the head.
  2. Cab is sold - new advert incoming for the Head Now £450 Both in overall excellent condition with a cover for the cabinet. The head is completely mint. There are a couple of marks on the sides of the cab that look like spill marks, I've tried to show them in the photos and there is very slight damage to the grill in the top right hand corner. None of these marks are significant and hardly noticeable when in use. Collection from Kinnoull Hill are of Perth (PH2 7XD) or courier available for a small extra charge. 3. Thanks - and it's arrived. It is a thing of beauty. I took a punt on it, but initial impressions are excellent. The neck is a narrower jazz style than a P IMHO but that works for me.
  4. Having sold my baby stingray, and my Electra VS I'm sat here waiting for my Sandberg California II VS4 Lionel to be delivered by ParcelForce Here are a couple of pictures from the ad.
  5. Lovely bass. I have the TRBX 604 and it’s superb with amazing versatility and build quality. GLWTS
  6. Horses for courses, the Sandberg has more a jazz neck and is currently fitted with flats - a little more forgiving, but the Fender is full fat passive P Bass and sounds amazing when you dig in.
  7. mate! wish i wasn't poor right now, that is lovely Thanks, it truly is and if I didn't have another Sandberg incoming, it wouldn't be for sale.
  8. The clear out continues as I make space for the incoming Sandberg Lionel Not much to say about this beyond the official blurb below. This is fitted with flats (Labella I think) and just sounds sublime. Everything works as it should including the truss rod. Weight and nut width in the photos. Collection from Kinnoull Hill area of Perth (PH2 7XD) or can be couriered for an extra £20. No trades or offers to send a courier with cash please. If the advert is live, the bass is still available. The Sandberg Electra VS4 MN Cream High-Gloss is your entry into the world of Braunschweig forged instruments. A no-nonsense Rock 'n Roller for the budget-conscious bassist, the VS4 is based on the classic p-bass design with a bolted on neck, fat active split coil pickup and 4-strings. The perfect electric bass for any rock band. Proven Construction The neck and body are constructed to the highest quality standards in Korea, but assembly and final inspection are carried out at Sandberg in Braunschweig. This means the quality is as you would expect from Sandberg but for a more wallet friendly price. The Linde body and six-bolt maple neck combo is a solid foundation for metered attack, while the slim "C" profile neck is comfortable at any position. Split Coil Pickup The Sandberg Designed active Split Coil pickup has fat, exposed pole pieces for a rich, stable foundation with low mid-range growl. 2-band tone control is on hand to sculpt your sound and sounds good with any settings. Perfectly Matched Hardware All this fine wood, quality construction and electronics would be wasted with anything less than the finest hardware, so to complete the Electra VS4 Sandberg chose the sturdy Sandberg Bridge 4 for precise intonation and open vintage style tuners. The main features of the Sandberg Electra VS4 MN Cream High-Gloss include: •4-String Electric Bass •Body: Basswood •Neck: 6-Fold Screwed Maple •Fingerboard: Maple •"C" Profile and maple fingerboard •Sandberg Designed Split Coil Pickups •Active 2-Band Tone Control •Sandberg Bridge 4 •Tuners: Vintage Style •Finish: Cream High-Gloss

  10. NOW SOLD Bought in March this year from Project Music. I'm just not playing it and there's something else I have my eyes on. I'm looking for £475 posted - I still have the original packing materials it came in, so it will be well protected. Weight and nut width in the photos.
  11. Thanks again all, especially @Matt P the boy is home and has been putting it through its paces and all seems well as per the wiring diagram. It is the rg120-210 and is a great bit of kit, but surplus to requirements as he's just bought a Vox AC30 C2.
  12. Thanks - I'll give that a try! Edit - that seems to work great. I'm no guitar player though, so I'll need my son to properly try it out later and check that the speaker is performing as it should. Thanks again!
  13. Thanks, that would be much appreciated.
  14. Thanks again both, I've just swapped the wires and the other speaker is working fine - I'll look for the impedance markings and order some spade and blade connectors to make up a replacement wire.
  15. Thanks @BigRedX I'll have a look for impedance markings and switch the wiring over to check if both speakers do actually work.
  16. Hi folks, I've bought an old Randall combo that my son has been using. I know nothing about amps, but he's put it up for sale and it's become apparent that only one of the speakers are wired up. So I'm trying to work out how it should be wired so that I can sort it. The 2 pictures here show how it is at present, and the 2 options for wiring it properly. Option 1 - Single amp output with connection between speakers using blade and spade connectors (in red). Option 2 - Use both amp outputs – 1 for each speaker. No connection between speakers (in blue) Any thoughts on which it should be and anything else I need to consider? I'm ok with a soldering iron and crimping kit, but I don't want to damage anything. Thanks in advance.
  17. That's where I got mine from - good service.
  18. Hi @borntohang I was confused a little - thanks for the clarification. I'll get that changed 👍
  19. I've only been playing for a couple of years, but in that time I must have had 20 or so basses pass through my hands. In that time, 3 stand out - and I still have them 1. Yamaha TRBX 604 - I know a weird choice, but the neck is sublime and the electronics are first rate. 2. Sandberg Electra VS 4 (P Bass) - the Sandberg attention to detail and quality is amazeballs, this instrument is better quality than the US Fender Ps I've had 3. Fender Mustang - I've had a couple, but my current JMJ is a keeper. I also have a 2006 MM Stingray that I'll never sell - but that's because it's my son's favourite. Plenty more to try 🙂
