2. Please be up-standing for the blues by, yours truly, "Skinny Bones Bailey"
3. Now that's really clever, nice one.
4. Hi Laurence, welcome to Basschat.
5. Thanks guys, it's good to be here. Hey, it's good to be anywhere
6. Sting, "Walking on the Moon" was the first time I'd heard bass so prominently. Later on Geddy Lee became my numero uno.

Hello!

Hello, good evening and welcome Gaz!
8.
Welcome! Good way to chill! But better still on a stage!
Hi Telebass, thanks for the welcome. Me on stage? Well if anyone ever organises a gig for the deaf, I'm your man Cheers, Rob
9. I'm seriously tempted to get an EUB. I tried a Stagg a couple of weeks ago and loved it but it did feel strange; riffs I've played for years on a bass guitar felt totally different. So kudos to you for gigging with DB after a couple of months Cheers, Rob
10. I used Rotosound Swing Bass for years; I used to love the tone (does anyone else remember the line on the back of the pack-"Thank you for your esteemed patronage"?) but when I got my Squier VMJ fretless I decided to 'go flat' and put some D'addario flatwound chromes on it. I love the tone, it's pure bass, almost an upright type sound with a nice nice bit of growl there too. They did feel strange at first, (a bit like driving on black ice ) but I got used to that pretty quickly. They do have a higher tension than the Swing bass, there's a lot less give under my right hand. If I'm totally honest that's the only thing I dislike about them, but it's a small price to pay for the tone. All the best, Rob
11. Hi everyone, Returned to playing bass after a long (long!) break. I'm strictly a 'living room' player; it's one of the best ways of chilling out I know. Cheers, Rob
