  1. Another heatwave day, good time for a photo. Damn the wood grain looks 3d in the sunlight 😎
  2. Sold Marc my Thumb bass; nice guy, great communication, fast payment, more great communication, highly recommended. Enjoy Bud
  3. Here we have for sale my 1990 Warwick Streamer Stage II NT4 FL. I bought this bass from the original owner who custom ordered it new from Warwick. I collected the bass during a driving holiday to Germany, and after went to the W factory for a tour where HPW signed the bass before we left. When I returned home I emailed them and HPW replied with: Bass Streamer Stage II 4 string Serial Number C 489 90 Year 1990 Month March Number 489 Neck Wood Wenge Wood with Afzelia Strips Fingerboard Ebony Wood Frets Fretless Nut Just a Nut Brass Version Neck construction NeckThrough hiddenneck construction Body 3 pcs. solid Afzelia Wood Surface Oil Finish / BeeWax Pickups 2 pcs. passive Bartolini JJ Pickups Electronic 2 Band MEC Electronic Hardware Gold Hardware by Warwick with Schaller M4 Machinheads Made in Germany / Pretzfeld /WestGermany) The bass is in excellent condition, apart from fading on some of the hardware, so near mint. Included is a Warwick heavy duty flight case or W gigbag, and strap locks. £2000 GBP collected, or worldwide shipping at buyers expense. No Trades.
  4. This beautiful instrument can be delivered to you in a black Warwick heavy duty flightcase inside a cardboard box, or for £50 less could be delivered in an old Warwick gigbag inside the cardboard box. Alternatively I can meet you at a reasonable distance or further for petrol money. Otherwise you can come down for a cup of tea and collect.
  5. I've been asked again for extra pics to include the neck, trusrod nut and electronics/battery cavities. The neck is straight and setup nearly flat with low action. The trusrod works as expected, and everything original in the electronics cavity.
  6. Thanks Clarky good point, bubinga does vary a bit in density/weight. The best I have is a bathroom scales, so I've just stepped on/off, and it looks like this beautiful instrument weights 4.1 kg.
  7. I've been asked for a few more photos including the headstock and bridge, so posting up here.
  8. Thanks for the kind words guy's, the neck on this bass is as described and is a real pleasure to play. I haven't had this bass out of the house very often, but couldn't resist last Friday for a photo when it was sunny.
  9. Hi, The time has come for me to part ways with some of my collection of lovely Warwick basses. These instruments get occasionally played/cleaned and waxed/returned to their classes, and deserve to go to someone who will give them the play time they deserve. After owning a few other thumbs (limited 03 & 06, 98nt) I finally got the “one” I was looking for. This bass is the lightest thumb I have played with the thinnest/fastest neck which plays and sounds great. I bought this bass from the original owner on eBay.de, and the instrument is in excellent original condition except for some blemishing of the paint on the bridge which does not affect its function or the playability. A couple of years ago I had the frets crowned/levelled and the bass set up by Chris Eccleshall guitars, and there is plenty of life left on the frets. Everything else on the bass works as expected. I wrote to Warwick about the spec for the bass and had a prompt reply from H.P. Wilfer, see below. SOLD

Oops, must be blind, Im more use to seeing the price in the body of the ad as opposed to in the tag. Looks like a beautiful bass at a great price.
  16. This was a great bass, and it was only sold because of finances. I sold the bass to Mark @ http://www.classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/ You could give him a call to find its whereabouts. Best of luck !
  17. Jim bought my 96 Warwick thumb bass lately and was a pleasure to deal with. Every email and phone chat went very smoothly, and the transaction was prompt. Jim is a good guy and I would not hesitate to deal with him again. Have fun with the thumb
