1. Mark Bass Supersynth, good condition but no box or manual. Loads of useful synth and octave sounds on tap and loads of crazy ones as well. The editing software can be downloaded from the Markbass website (only seems to work on Windows though, thanks markbass). 12v power supply included. £160 to your door, if you want to collect then I'll take a bit less.
2. On hold, That was quick.
3. Offering this up as I'm no longer playing. I've had it 3 months and it is basically new, mint condition, seen about 3 gigs and maybe 9 hours use total. It has the 2 speakons and the black grill, I'll take pictures if anyone wants some but I think everyone knows what they look like. Collection only form SW London £375
4. Covers band based in South London and Surrey looking for a new bass player, mainly pub gigs with the odd wedding every now and then. The set list is fairly varied, mainly classic rock but some pop motown and contemporary stuff in there as well. There are shows booked up until the end of the year, all gigs are paid. The age range of the band is 25-35ish, but age isn't really a problem. Ideally we are looking for someone who will know a fair amount of the set already, we have cover up until November but the quicker we can get someone in the better. Own gear and transport is essential as the gigs are all around South London and Surrey, rehearsals in Morden right near the tube station. Example set list: Rollin' in the deep Rock n roll Mr. Brightside Sex on fire You and me song Since you've been gone I believe in a thing called love Brown sugar Beat it Hard to handle Can't get enough Boys are back in town Are you gonna b my girl Here I go again Go your own way Long train running Sweet child o mine You give love a bad name Summer of 69 Whole lotta Rosie Hey ya All right now Freebird Good Times ABC/ I want you back Through the grapevine Respect Midnight hour Website: www.clonetheband.co.uk -(just fyi the samples up there are out of date, we have since added a new lead guitarist so look here www.lemonrock.com/clone for an up to date sample)
5. Sold a barefaced midget to Geoff, everything went very smoothy. Hope you're enjoying the cab.
6. Sold a cab to Mike, Absolutely no issues, deal with confidence.
7. This is my '50s classic Precision, made in Mexico in approx 2007. It has 2 tiny dings on the headstock which I couldn't get to show up on my crappy camera, otherwise it is very good condition. The neck is very slightly wider than a regular precision but doesn't feel as deep on this one. Comes with a hard case (non fender) and a Fender gig bag. Looking to trade this for a Musicman, Sub, Ray34/35 etc or a G&L of some description (would love an Asat). I may be interested in a straight sale at £380 but prefer a trade. Pictures:
8. Would you be interested in a trade? I have a honey blonde 50s precision that's not getting much use.
9. Five quid off, the last price drop.
10.
Well, perhaps I could come and try out the Midget instead?
Yeah that's no problem. just drop me a PM to sort out the details
11. I will probably putting the Midget (pictured) up for sale as well in the next week or so once the new compact arrives if anyone is interetsed.
12. Just beaten to it, on hold for Dropzone for after the weekend then.
13.
Any idea how it would sound driven by a Little Mark 250 (4 ohm)?
Volume wise or tone? Sounds really good with my markbass head which is what I've used it with for the last year, not sure how loud it would go with the 250 but you're welcome to come and try it out.
are you willing to ship it at buyers cost?
Possibly, although posting it to Belgium is out for the moment. I'm near enough to the Eurostar though
14. SW near Wimbledon, also in Surrey a fair bit with the band and work.
15. I bought this from Hamster last year and used it on it's own mostly for pub gigs, although I have paired it with a Barefaced Midget a few times and it sounds great. It's carpet covered so looks quite well used, the covering is lifting slightly in one area along a seam but it's not really tatty. (better pictures up later) From Hamsters sale thread: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=90128&hl=
It was made to compliment a Markbass 2x10 cab and is approx 23W x 21H x 19D. It weighs approx 37lbs and is clear, loud and pretty bright for a 1x15 cab. It won't do bright and zingy but it will provide buckets of punch, power and pretty detailed clarity. Rated at 450W @ 8ohms and it has a speakon connector to the rear. I've put new cab corners on it.
It's a very good sounding cab but the dimentions don't suit my car or flat so I've ordered a new compact from Alex. Price is £200 collected
16. Thanks for the offer but I've already put the price down £20, it's not getting chepaer than this. Also I really don't want the extra hassle of sending this outside the UK.
17. Price drop as I have seen something I want to buy. Postage on this will be about £15.
18. Will also include this fetching bag if you want it as my RH750 doesn't fit in it. Not the most stylish thing in the world but the head fits in the rear pocket which is lightly padded and secures with velcro leaving plenty of space for cables in the front.
19. You can toggle the sound on/off but it either means switching to the next/previous patch or clicking both switches together for bypass. The way round this is to set the expression pedal as the gain control so you can play the song (pedal all the way back) and then engage the fuzz sound (rock the pedal forward) for the chorus.
20. I've just had a bit of a GAS attack and bought a new TC head so time to move on the trusty LM3 I bought this new from Andertons it's about 18 months old and seen quite a lot of use over that time but has never let me down, I've always kept it in a soft case/bag and hasn't been on tour or thrown around in the back of a van but just taken out for practices and weekend pub gigs. The amp is plenty loud enough for any gig (now I know how to set the gain knob) in good condition, few scratches on the bottom (see picture) but nothing serious. I'm also including a OBBM speaker lead jack-speakon with this as I'll need to get a new one made up for the new head. Price [s]£380[/s] now £375. Collection form SW London. I'd rather not post but the option is available.
21.
Take something Like Adele, Jessie J or anything that is on the "pop" channels and indie it up .
+1 I've just done a couple of tracks by these myself, really easy stuff as well.
22.
Also been looking at alternative cndle treatment that might be fun.
I'd give ear candles a miss: http://www.skepdic.com/coning.html http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelate...s/candling.html
23. Quick update, I used the Lm3 with just the midget on a mid sized pub gig on saturday and it was plenty loud enough now I know what I'm ding with the gain. Thanks again for the help.
24. If you can find one I'd recommend a second hand Mexican 50s Precision, better pick-ups than the squires and the price would be a few quid more than the CV but probably less than the cost of replacement pick-ups.
