3. Up for sale is my as-new Gallien Krueger MB Fusion. It's a great little head that puts out an unbelievably loud 500W. It has the signature GK growl and, uniquely, combines it with valve warmth. The best of both worlds! From the GK website: "The MB Fusion combines the all tube preamp of the Fusion series with the ultralight power amp found in the MB500. In addition to the identical tone shaping capabilities of the Fusion series, two foot switchable gain and master volume controls make the MB Fusion the ultimate in portability, tube tone and functionality." The amp in brand new condition and comes in its original box with manual and footswitch. These cost £550 online and I'm asking just £SOLD.No trades thanks. 4. The tone of the LB30 is the best of any amp I've ever had the pleasure of using. Unfortunately, it doesn't get the use it deserves which means two things: firstly, it's in 'as new' condition and secondly, it has to go. From the Ashdown website: "Rebellious, uncompromising and cool as f***, James Dean – and the car he nicknamed the Little Bastard – are the inspiration for this iconic, all-tube mini bass amp head. Rated at 30-Watts, the Little Bastard won't rip your head off, but its EL84-equipped power section is more than capable enough for small gigs. And, of course, it won't put your back out on the way. The Little Bastard preamp stage employs ECC83 and ECC82 tubes and features High and Low gain inputs, front panel-mounted Effects Send and Return, rotary Bass, Middle and Treble controls with Mid Shift, Bass Shift and Bright switching, Mute switch, rotary Volume control and balanced DI output." These are £475 online. I'm asking just £SOLD. No trades thanks. 5.
As a current Promethean owner, and a past Streamliner owner, I'd urge you not to. IMO/IME, of course.
I agree that a Promethean is preferable to a Streamliner. The Promethean is one of the most underrated heads out there. If you want a bit of growl, get yourself an overdrive pedal rather than replacing the whole amp. That's all IMO/IME too!
 6. Ever since I saw one at a guitar show as a young boy, I always wanted a Warwick Thumb. I finally realised my dream in 2003 and bought a brand spanking new Thumb Bolt-on. It was everything I hoped it would be and more and I have loved and cherished it. However, it has not had the use it deserves, partly due to me not playing for a number of years due to work and baby commitments and, now that I find myself back in a band, I have other basses which suit the music I'm playing better. And, having an expensive bass lying around without being played is difficult to justify to 'er indoors! So, sentimental attachment or not, it's up for sale. The bass is a 2003 model (verified by the serial number). It is German-made with an ovangkol body and neck and a wenge fingerboard. It is completely standard with MEC pickups and 2-band active EQ. The condition of the bass is immaculate with barely any marks on it which attests to the little amount of use it has had. It has just been set up professionally by renowned technician Stuart Monks (who has previously worked for both Warwick and Wal) and fitted with a new set of Rotosound Billy Sheehan strings. It comes with the original gigbag although the zip on the accessories pocket of this has broken. The value of this bass, if maintained in a good condition, is unlikely to go down given that the Thumb BO is now made in Korea and costs £1500! You're unlikely to lose money on it (always a good excuse to justify to the other half! ) and, as the German-made instruments become rarer and even more sought-after, the value is likely to rise. Here's a German Youtube video of the Thumb bass which, unusually for Youtube, I think is pretty representative of the sound of the bass: I am located in Ruislip, HA4 in North West London just 15 minutes drive from the M1 (junction 5) or the same sort of distance from the M40/M25 interchange. The bass is only available for collection in person as I really don't want to courier such a precious instrument. The asking price is £SOLD. No trades thanks. 7.
I love my BMC Have a bump on me.
I love mine too! So simple yet so powerful.
 8. My immaculate Thumb BO 4 will be up for sale as soon as I get some time to take photos and put it in the 'For Sale' section! Great basses.
 9. Err....DV are massive. That's no guarantee they'll be around in 3 years' time just as we don't know if Thomann will. What we do know is: 1) The warranty is a MANUFACTURER'S warranty and, in the event of a warranty issue, you can take the amp back to any authorised dealer in the country of pruchase 2) If you buy from Germany, the warranty is upheld in Germany. So, back the amp goes. At your expense. 3) If DV have given you a good service, why wouldn't you want to buy from them? Seriously, these guys are doing everything you ask and you're still questioning it? Look at the state of our economy. Look at how many music shops have gone from our high streets. Can there be any better reason to support your local shops or failing that, at least buying in this country when the deal is BETTER that the one you've got from Thomann?!!
